The Woodland Packs - Page 107

“I hope you learn to be happy here. In your own skin. Because you have to know that we will adore you no matter what you look like. It’s one of the conditions of us being your mate.”

I pulled my hand back gently. “What do you mean?”

We began walking along the road and I started to notice all of the other men.

There wasn’t a single woman my age, though I saw a few older ones.

I stepped closer to Grayson, who squeezed my waist once then let go, though he stayed close. “Don’t worry, beautiful. None of them will come anywhere near you.”

And somehow, I believed him. “Tell me more about this mating thing.”

“Well, for one thing, none of the other pack members will want you the way we do. Dex was extremely possessive over Claire when they first met, but she just doesn’t do it for us. She’s nice, of course. But we aren’t attracted to her.”

“Don’t like big boobs?” I joked and the men looked confused.

“Oh, it’s not a literal attraction thing. We wouldn’t care if you were even skinnier, or if you were twice as big as Claire. The attraction is a chemical one we can’t control. You’re our mate, and we’ll never want another woman again. You’re it for us.”

I stopped in the street and they all turned to look at me. “Are you kidding me?”

They couldn’t possibly be telling the truth. Three men this hot couldn’t be telling me that they would be faithful to me for the rest of their lives. It was impossible.

“No. What’s wrong?” Grayson asked.

“We better go, Gray. You got this?” Brad asked and Grayson nodded.

Brad stepped forward and pressed a kiss to my forehead.

Aaron stood still, shaking in a strange way. Like he couldn’t decide what to do.

“Bye.” I said, waving at him and giving him as much of a smile as I could manage.

“Ah…” Aaron leaned forward, then turned and walked away.

When they were out of ear shot I asked Grayson, “What’s wrong with Aaron?”

“He… um… It’s hard to explain. Brad’s bonded with you already, and I get my chance this morning. I think Aaron’s jealous, or something. He hasn’t really explained.”

That made sense. How would three men share me anyway?

“I kind of get it.”

“Yes, I do too. But hopefully we’ll have a lot of time together, so there’s no need to hurry.”

My body disagreed with him. The further I walked, the longer I spent with Grayson, the more my body a

ched.

Quite literally.

My pussy throbbed, my nipples tingled.

“Um… you were going to tell me more about the mate thing. You weren’t serious about being faithful to me, were you? Not all of you.”

It was impossible. Totally impossible.

Male animals were seed spreaders. Not settle-down-and-commit types.

Grayson grinned “Of course, we were serious. That’s part of the mateship. We won’t desire another woman for as long as we live. None of us. We’ve found you now and we know what it feels like to have you close by. Anything else would be wrong.”
