Savior - Page 48

“Really? Like you didn’t make a scene in front of Chloe?”

“You’re lucky I didn’t make a bigger scene,” she challenged before disappearing behind the curtain.

I supposed I was lucky, but right then, I didn’t feel very lucky.

The next fifteen minutes passed in a blur of rustling fabric behind the curtain and Alexandra coming out in one stunning dress after the next. I thought the first one was a winner with its high neck and long sleeves. She’d rolled her eyes and flung the curtain closed.

She didn’t show me the second one and Audrey had just come to check on us when Alexandra came out with the third one on, her back pressed to the curtain.

“Oh, that’s beautiful,” Audrey gasped.

Alexandra cringed. “I like it, but I can’t tell how it will look with the right bra.”

“Oh, that’s no problem at all. Let me grab you some undergarments,” Audrey said, disappearing back through the door.

“Let me see,” I demanded.

“No.”

“Turn, Alexandra. Now.”

She rolled her eyes but complied. The back of the dress was like a racerback, but the sides were cut deep, exposing the sheer, black band and straps of her bra.

“I can see the dilemma. Why not just go without a bra.”

“Umm, because I have D-cup boobs.”

I dropped my gaze, not thinking. “I noticed.”

“Well, this dress has no support and I need something to hold me up.”

“Here you go.” Audrey came back with two sets of lingerie proudly dangling from her fingers.

I almost choked on my tongue at the scrap of underwear that she carried. It was black and lace and not a whole lot of anything.

“I figured you’d only need the bra, but they come in a set.”

“Thank you,” Alexandra said. “I’ll try these on.”

And then we went back to dress after dress, only now I imagined them all with a tiny lace thong underneath.

“I really like this one,” she announced before coming out from the dressing room.

“Let me see.”

She slid the curtain open slowly and my cock went from one to sixty in less than five seconds. Holy shit. “No.”

“What?”

“I said, no,” I growled.

The emerald silk hung off her curves perfectly. The slit bared her pale leg with each step she took. It cinched at the waist and separated into a vee that didn’t even try to cling to her breasts. They swayed with each movement, almost making me beg that she’d make a wrong move and they’d fall out for me to ogle.

“Why don’t you just ask every man to stare at your tits?”

She popped a hand on her hip, the material swaying one way and the soft curves in another. “Like you are right now.”

“Exactly. And I don’t even want you.”

“You’re a dick.”

“Pick a different dress.”

“You know what?” She stomped two steps away from me. “If you have such a strong opinion, then you come help me find a dress.”

“No.”

“Then I want this one.”

We were in a standoff. She stood over me, her eyebrow raised in challenge. A rumble grew in my chest, but I managed to swallow it down. “Fine,” I caved.

“Good. Follow me.”

She flicked through dresses and I stood behind her giving my opinion on each. After a while, I held about seven more dresses and my arm was starting to get tired. These damn things were heavy.

“So, how did you start your own business?” she asked, still flicking from one dress to the next.

“I hit a bit of luck my senior year of college and sold an app which got me a good amount of money, but it was Ian’s idea that we start our own company. He came from money, so it was easier for him. We started small in our shared apartment, selling a few more apps and programs. A few years later we were able to get actual offices.”

She nodded and held out one dress. It was pink and the color was all wrong. I shook my head and she put it back with a shrug.

“What do your parents do?”

“They’re both high school teachers.”

“That’s cool.”

“Not when they teach at your school.”

She laughed and it eased some tension I’d been trying to hold on to. “I bet it really killed your game with the ladies.”

“Hardly. What about that one?” I reached past her and flipped back to one she just passed.

She pulled it out and looked the burgundy fabric up and down. “Sure. Come on, I think that’s enough.”

“Thank, God.”

She disappeared behind the curtain and I opened my phone to respond to some emails. A soft thud pulled my eyes up and my heart stopped. A small crack remained between the edge of the changing room and the curtain. I barely held back my moan at the beautiful curves that were reflected in the mirror.

Alexandra was bent over, stepping into a dress, her skin pale and soft against her plain black cotton panties. She stood upright and wiggled the dress over her hips, her full breasts swaying in a barely there lace bra that hinted at her pale nipples beneath. I must have made some sound because she gasped and I looked up to find her eyes locked on mine through the reflection. Color the same as the dress tinted her cheeks, but she didn’t rush. She took her time to slide her arms in the sleeves and eased the material up over her luscious chest, not once looking away.
