Savior - Page 47

I shook it off and met her at the elevators. We didn’t speak the entire drive. I kept my jaw clenched shut, worried about what might slip out if I relaxed. Instead, I suffered through the silent drive, inhaling her sweet lemony scent.

It wasn’t until I crossed the bridge that she spoke. “Where are we going?”

“A place my sister recommended in Covington.”

“Is this where you take all the girls shopping?” she asked, her tone dry.

“Contrary to popular belief, I’m not jumping at the chance to take girls shopping.”

“Well, I hope you’re ready for this because I’m gonna take my time and be picky about my first formal dress. It may take hours. Aren’t you happy you forced me to do this?”

I groaned at her jovial tone. “You’re enjoying this.”

“You deserve this.”

I went back to clamping my jaw shut because she was right, after what I did today, I did deserve any punishment she dished out. I once again hadn’t meant for it to go so far. I’d only meant to invite Chloe to lunch and make Alexandra see her. Then Alexandra had walked in, frozen, staring at me and I’d come. Her blue eyes burned me from across the room and had my balls pulling up tight as jets of my cum spilled, and I completely forgot the actual woman sucking me off.

The drive went surprisingly fast for Friday traffic, but as soon as we parked, I climbed out of the car and took my first deep breath that wasn’t saturated with the young woman next to me. We were greeted by two women who asked Alexandra all kinds of questions about her preferences. She’d stuttered and turned wide eyes to me.

“She needs a gown for a black-tie event tomorrow.”

“Of course,” one of the women said. “I’m Tina and this is Audrey. If you’ll follow us to the second floor we can get you started.”

“Oh, um…” Alexandra’s head whipped between me and the woman dragging her toward the back hallway. “Can he come with me? I’ll need his help.”

“Of course, we have a sitting area.” She didn’t bother to turn back around. Just waved her hand for me to follow.

“Can we get you some water? Maybe some champagne?” Audrey asked.

“Water for both of us will be great.” When she walked away, I mumbled, “Straight liquor would be better.”

“Actually, I’d love a glass of champagne.” Alexandra turned, smirking, enjoying my discomfort. “It’s going to be a long night.”

However, she wasn’t smirking much when Tina cornered her again.

“Do you know your sizes?”

“Um.” Her eyes kept flicking to mine. “Sizes?”

“No problem, dear. Just follow me and I’ll get you all figured out.” Tina tugged Alexandra to the dressing room, causing her to stumble. “You’ll need to strip so I can get an accurate measurement.”

Audrey appeared with my water just as Alexandra disappeared behind a curtain. Before it closed she looked over with wide, pleading eyes. I raised my glass in a salute and took a sip, not bothering to hide the smile at her discomfort.

Maybe two minutes in, a yelp came from behind the curtain, followed by a grumbled, “They’re just boobs. Everyone has them. No need to be modest.”

I made sure I laughed loud enough for Alexandra to hear me on the other side.

After a few more yelps and awkward laughs, the curtain was whipped back and out came Tina. “We’ll gather some dresses to get started.”

A traumatized Alexandra stood against the mirror with a cream silk robe clutched tight around her chest. Her eyes locked on my smile and narrowed to slits.

“They stripped me,” she whispered, stomping over.

“Sounds like you had a fabulous time.”

“You knew this would happen.”

“I didn’t, but I can’t say I’m disappointed.”

She lifted a finger and opened her lips to start rioting at me when both women came back, their arms filled with every color of fabric imaginable.

“These should get us started.”

“Jesus. We’ll be here forever,” I moaned, falling back in the stiff cushioned chair.

She smiled victoriously until Tina tried to head into the room with her. “Let’s get you stripped again and I’ll help you in an—”

“No,” Alexandra shouted, her hands up to hold off Tina. She softened her tone when she realized how harsh she sounded. “I’ve got it. Thank you so much. I will definitely call for help. Really appreciate it.”

“Are you sure?” I asked, adding fuel to the fire.

Her head jerked my way, her eyes angry slits that tried to laser through me. “I’m sure,” she ground out.

“Well, call me if you need me,” Tina said, walking away, Audrey on her heels.

“So, what’s the event for?” Alexandra asked from the other side of the curtain.

“It’s the annual fundraiser for Haven.”

There was a long pause before a soft, “Oh.”

“It’s very important to me, so I’d appreciate if you took it seriously.”

Her head popped from behind the curtain. “Just because I want you to suffer for being a giant asshole, doesn’t mean I would do anything to ruin your event. Especially in front of people.”
