Unbroken 2 - Page 72

But there was something in his eyes that told me he wasn’t speaking shit. He looked like he was honestly capable of doing that. He whispered tightly, “Something inside me is telling me to do just that, and I wonder, Skye, if you could ever forgive me when I do—”

“Stop it,” I hissed.

He just stared at me in response, this determined glint in his eye that unsettled me.

I let out a shaky breath, reminding him, “You and Leo came tomewith this arrangement, Hunt. Right now, I feel like I’m being punished for it.”

“Because I needed to have you,” he explained. “I needed to know what it was like to be with you and not have to fucking share you.”

I huffed out a breath. “Is it everything you hoped it would be?”

He tensed his jaw, that edgy look in his face returning. “It’s why I’m going crazy, Skye. I want more of you.”

“You have me—”

“I want more.”

What did he mean?

He had me. In any way. In all ways. That was what this whole arrangement was about.

“I don’t like seeing you like this,” I began to say, shaking my head. “You’ve never lost it like this, Hunt—”

“Lost it?” he repeated, astonished, giving me a dark smile. “Flower, you’ll fuckingknowwhen I’ve lost it.”

Feeling overwhelmed by his bizarre words, I spun around and continued to walk, hurrying now as he followed closely behind. “Go away, Hunt.”

“Like hell,” he retorted.

“Just give me a minute!”

“Have your minute.”

“I can’t when you keep following me.”

“Tough luck.”

Tough luck?

I growled in response, causing him to chuckle. “Stop growling, Skye, you’re not an animal.”

“You just make me so angry!”

Suddenly, his arms came around me, lifting me off my feet and into the air. I struggled against his hold for a moment before his mouth was everywhere, sprinkling kisses against my cheeks. I immediately melted into his hold, shocked when his large hand slipped into the front of my jeans, cupping my core. “Who owns this?” he demanded, lips pressed to my ear as I shut my eyes at his possessive touch.

I didn’t even think. “You.”

“Yeah?”

“Uh-huh.”

“You didn’t even have to think about that, did you?”

I stilled, whipping my eyes back open to smack at his arm. “Put me down.”

He set me down on my feet, but then he spun me around, dropping his arms around me. He pulled me to him so that my front was flush against his. I looked up at him, ready to spout curses when he kissed me roughly, silencing me. He didn’t stop kissing me, either. Just ran his tongue along my lips, tasting me. I was cloudy with desire, my body awake, my emotions awash with love.

When he finally pulled back, I was breathless, giving him a bewildered look. “How do you do that, Hunt?” I asked.
