Goldie Locks: Steamy Standalone Instalove Romance - Page 28

“Max…” I puff, cautioning him how close I am but his smile only widens as his eyes lock onto mine.

A deep, intense look fills them and I tilt my head back, begging him to fill me. Needing him to come inside me now more than anything.

Without missing a beat, Max positions himself on his knees while gripping my hips and I feel my butt lifting higher as he pulls my whole body closer to his in one movement.

That’s when I know I’m done. Something inside me is set free, and my rising breaths, the words I’ve been trying to get out echoes off the walls as Max and I share our first climax together.

Everything I’ve ever felt, wanted, or needed. Everything I’ve ever been afraid of or found funny. It’s all let out in a moment that feels like it lasts forever. A wave of emotions and love that I feel for Max and I know he feels for me, washing over us both until we gladly drown in it. Reborn only when we bob up to the surface again, totally exhausted, laughing, and the happiest I’ve ever felt in my whole life.

“I love you, Max,” I tell him without even having to think, still panting; my eyes wide with wonder and disbelief but no doubt in my heart.

“My Phoebe,” he pants. “I loved you the second I saw you,” he tells me, collapsing next to me. A sheen of sweat on his body that I trace with my finger, feeling the same on myself after a moment.

“That was… incredible,” I finally manage to say. His hand finds mine and his fingers curl around it as we both lay there, basking in the moment for I don’t know how long until we regain our breath and our senses.

“Did you feel it?” he asks, almost making me laugh out loud but I know what he means.

Not just the feeling we just shared, but something much bigger. Something bigger than both of us.

“I felt it,” I tell him, still aware of it inside me.

A part of Max and me. Something eternal, forever.

“C’mere,” Max murmurs, reaching over to pull me closer to him before I feel the only thing missing between us.

“Trixie,” I gasp, sitting up and looking around for her before calling out her name.

Max props himself up and looks over his side of the bed but I’m already up, a little more than wobbly on my feet but finding a robe hung over a chair, I slip into it and with the ends dragging on the carpet at my feet I set out to find my baby.

The Max Bear-sized robe fits more like a circus tent on my body, but I feel like I need to cover up before venturing out to find Trixie.

“Where are you, baby girl?” I murmur to myself, trying not to panic as I remember the backyard is fully fenced and there’s no way she could have gone out the front.

I half expect Max to join me, but after a few minutes, he’s missing in action as well, making my anxiety worsen as I feel it transform into sheer panic at not knowing where my Trixie is.

Trying not to trip over the oversized robe as I rush upstairs again, I start to call out for Max, telling him Trixie’s missing.

And there he is.

There she is too.

He’s fast asleep on his back, the covers only just covering himself with my little girl curled up in a ball on his chest.

I should be jealous, but I trust Trixie’s judgment better than my own.

If she’s in love with Max, it’s no wonder I am too. I’ve never seen her take to anyone or any place new so quickly.

She’s not a nervous dog anymore, and she doesn’t have to try to compensate for my own nerves now that Max is in our lives.

Now we’re all together.

It feels strange seeing them together like this and I don’t want to wake either of them up. I just lean against the doorframe for a while, watching the two loves of my life sleeping, looking so perfect together until I feel my legs numb under me, then starting to shake a little.

The pleasant ache Max has gifted me starting to kick in before I decide to run myself a hot bath and have a soak while he sleeps it off.

While they both sleep it off.

I wonder what Trixie was up to? There’s more yard to explore outback than our whole neighborhood, so maybe she just wore herself out sniffing around.

Closing then locking the sliding doors from the kitchen to the back yard, I return to the only bathroom I know in the place downstairs and start to run a bath.

There are more towels, robes, and bath stuff than a five star hotel in Max’s place so I feel spoilt before I even discover a big bottle of what I know without even opening it is Max’s signature scent.
