Single Dad's Surrogate: A Billionaire's Baby and Nanny Romance - Page 116

Carter poured a second glass of champagne and strolled toward me. He leaned in and gave me a quick kiss on the lips.

“I'd say this was a better celebration anyway,” he said, smirking. “That was amazing.”

I felt blood rush to my cheeks, like it always did whenever I received a compliment.

“That felt so good,” I said, with a girlish smile. “I hope you aren't mad that we aren't going to dinner.”

“Of course I'm not mad,” he said, shaking his head. “Are you kidding me? It's just dinner. We'll go another time. I promise.”

He handed me the glass of champagne.

“We can always have another drink, though,” he said.

I took the drink from him but then immediately set it down onto his desk. Then I touched my belly, where his warm seed still marinated inside me.

I can't drink now, I thought. Not any more. Not with the baby.

“I shouldn't have another drink,” I said. “I've got to drive home.”

“I can call you a cab,” he said, pulling out his cell phone. “Or I can have my driver take you home. It's no big deal.”

“No, no,” I said, placing my hands onto Carter's forearms. “No need for that. I don't live too far anyway. I'll just drive.”

“If you insist,” he said.

I stood on my tip toes and we kissed. When I pulled away, I gazed into those beautiful eyes of his for just a moment too long. I couldn't help but to wonder if our baby would have that color of eyes.

“So, I guess I'll see you on Monday?” he asked.

“I'll be here,” I said, though secretly I hoped I'd get a chance to talk to him before then. I didn't want this to end up being a one night stand. I wanted this to be the beginning of something amazing.

I spun around and walked out of the office, making my way to the parking lot. When I got into my car, I sat down and started it up. It was only then, as my thighs hit the cold leather of the car seat, that I realized I'd accidentally left my torn panties on Carter's desk. I smiled at the thought of him picking them up to throw them away.

Maybe he'll keep them, though, I thought. I hope he does. Like a souvenir.

As I made my way home, I felt Carter's seed leaking out of my pussy and down the inside of my thigh. It was a reminder of just how amazing things were about to become. For a moment, I could see myself pushing the baby in a stroller around the park. I imagined meeting up with Maddy and sharing laughs with the child on my lap. I would finally be the girl making other women baby crazy.

I can't wait to see how Carter reacts when he finds out, I thought. Thought I'm sure he'll be as happy as I am.

Chapter 11

It was impossible for me to say just how I knew that I was pregnant immediately after Carter planted his seed inside of me. It was like I just knew. Maybe it was that “woman's intuition” that I'd heard people talk about throughout my entire life. There was a feeling inside of me that told me it was real. It was happening and it wasn't just my imagination.

I found myself touching my belly all weekend. Before a shower, I'd stand naked in front of the mirror and circle my stomach with my fingertips. I even played relaxing classical music in my apartment for that entire weekend, with the hopes that the new life inside of me would be able to hear it. It sounded crazy, even to myself, but I couldn't deny the feelings of being pregnant.

When Monday morning came around, I realized that I had spent two full days listening to classical music while checking my cell phone repeatedly. I kept on hoping to get a text or a call or an email, just something, from Carter. There was nothing, though. I wasn't worried about it, just thought it was strange. I guess I figured he'd have touched base the day after fucking me like an animal in his office.

Maybe he was busy, I thought, as I opened my closet to pick out clothes for work. He's the CEO after all. He has a lot more important things to worry about than I do.

Hanging in front of me in the closet was a row of my usual work attire. The pencil skirts, the over-sized sweaters, the white blouses that left everything to the imagination. I realized at that moment, that those outfits weren't really me, at least not any more. Maybe they never were. I don't know. But one thing was for sure, I wasn't going to go into work today wearing something drab and boring. I wanted to make sure I got Carter's attention, hopefully in a similar way as I did on Friday night.

At the very right side of my closet, tucked behind a bunch of clothes I never thought I'd wear, was a dark blue, low-cut blouse. My mother had bought it for me years before and I don't think I wore it a single time, with the exception of when she'd made me try it on. I didn't like it then. It only covered up half of my tits and the rest it smashed into cleavage. I snatched it down, smiling as I slipped it on.

“It's perfect,” I whispered, checking myself out in the tall mirror that hung on the back of my bedroom door.

The same reasons I'd hated the blouse when my mother had given it to me, were now the reasons that I absolutely loved it. It made my breasts look amazing. Somehow bigger than they actually were. The sides clung to my curves in just the right way, too.

I spun around and grabbed a light gray skirt from the same part of the closet. It was much shorter than the usual skirts and dresses that I wore, so therefore it was perfect. Plus, the color complimented the blouse really well. After doing my hair and spraying on my best perfume, I was out the door and on my way to work. I couldn't wait to see Carter.
