Maceo (Filthy Rich Alphas) - Page 19

Time passed and still I sat on that roof with Maceo, never wondering why I stayed, but so unwilling to leave. I couldn’t think of the last time I’d just sat and talked with a man under the stars?

The candles lowered until only the flames floated on top of melted liquid. All of the food disappeared from both of our nibbling. Every wine bottle was empty. I think I noticed we were both pretty drunk, the moment we started singing Christmas songs at the top of our lungs. Why we started with Jingle Bells, I would never know.

Meanwhile, Maceo could blow. Lyrics traveled out of his mouth with a lovely bass tone.

We ended the festivities with Silent Night.

I won’t tell him this, but I’m having fun.

Maceo was comfort and home all encased in a beautiful man. But, he wasn’t for me. Not now or ever. Maybe someone would catch his eye and treat him right. Surely a woman unwilling to commit was not the right one for him.

Still, I lay in his arms when he lounged right next to me.

His plumbers had left hours ago, and my brothers, too.

The parking lot surrounding Sin was empty, with the exception of our cars.

Yawning, I rested my head on his hard, muscular chest. “We should leave.”

“Why?”

“Because it’s getting late.”

“So?” He ran his fingers through my hair.

My body trembled against him.

“Are you cold?” he asked.

“No.”

He grabbed the picnic blanket and covered us both with it. “Then, why are you shaking?”

“Because it feels so good when you touch me.”

I probably shouldn’t have said that.

He didn’t reply. Instead, he continued to play with my hair, his fingers sending tingles along my scalp.

“Is this your move? To get my guard down and take my panties off?” I asked.

“No. I have no moves anymore.”

“I don’t believe you.”

“The man I am now is different from the person I used to be. The person I am now wouldn’t even try to have sex with you, not with you’re being so drunk. Besides, when I take your body, Christine, you’ll be sober and begging.”

“Ha! Don’t hold your breath.”

“The old me would have already had your legs up in the air, preferably your ankles on my shoulders.”

“Oh, really?”

“Yes. Really. Right now, you’re drunk so your guard is down. This would’ve been the perfect time to lay you on your back and begin tasting that sweet flesh between your thighs.”

A shiver ran up my spine. “How would you taste me?”

“I’d open your legs. It wouldn’t be second by second, not fast at all, more minute by minute as I explore your body with my mouth and hands. With you, I would have to take my time. That’s the other reason why I haven’t made a move, as you say. I’m too eager to be inside of you right now, too ready to show you that you’re mine.”

Yours?

Lust uncoiled within my core. The urge to rub against him and make it happen filled me.

“I can tell you haven’t been fucked really well,” he whispered. “I can sense that you’ve never had anyone truly make love to you.”

I pouted. “I’ve been fucked.”

“Hmmm.” He moved his finger down to my back and massaged all of my tension away. “You’ve had men, sure. But you’ve never been fucked, not the way I would fuck you. No, mami. Right now, guys are a dime a dozen and can be replaced with a contraption. I bet you have a vibrator that you never let rest.”

I giggled. “It’s resting now.”

“A woman that has had cock just right. Well, she wouldn’t have ignored her body’s calling, when I stepped in the room.”

“Oh brother.” I closed my eyes. Another yawn left my parted lips. “Your ego is huge. You’re telling me that you could see I was unsatisfied sexually because I didn’t fall to your feet when you came into my club?”

“It’s true.”

“In your dreams, lover boy.”

“Maybe.” He kissed my forehead. “In my dreams.”

And then I fell asleep within his arms and the stars hanging and sparkling in the sky.

Chapter 6

Pipe Cleaner

I woke up inside of my office. At least I thought it was my office. This four walled room was so clean I couldn’t contain my glee.

“Oh my God.” I sat up and stretched my arms.

What was once a room of disorganization was now the neatest office I’d ever been in. Where had all of the papers and files from my desk gone? My shoes and clothes hung behind my door on some new rack organizer. Pencils lounged with pens in a jar at the edge of my desk.

Boxes rested near the door, full of labels on the front and stacks of things inside. One box proclaimed to be Business Items. Another said, Unsure. The last one read, Things My Lady Loves.

I laughed at Maceo’s audacity.

Really? Your lady? I don’t think so.
