Riptide (Renegades 6) - Page 91

She couldn’t imagine feeling more controlled. Her legs spread, her back arched, her voice stripped. She felt vulnerable and sexy, and a thrill snaked through her in a shiver.

Zach devoured her like a lion would attack a steak. His teeth bit into her breast before scraping over the skin. Her hot cry pillowed against his heavy hand, and he showed no mercy as he ate at her breast as if it were a delicacy. Every pinch of his teeth, every stroke of his tongue, every suck of his lips could have been directly between her legs. And even though she rocked her hips against his, begging for his powerful thrust, he remained deeply imbedded in her, stone still while she was anything but. She clenched and released him, rocked and lifted.

“Zach…” she whimpered, working toward a release just out of reach while he moved his mouth to the other breast and feasted. “Zach… Ah.”

Pleasure swamped her on a wave, carrying her higher, higher, higher before it crashed, wringing excitement through her.

As she slid toward reality, catching her breath, Zach released her wrists and cupped her face with both hands. When she managed to open her eyes, she found his gaze hot and intense. “I’m so fucking crazy about you.”

Her heart jumped, and pleasure spread through her chest. That hadn’t been what she’d expected him to say. In fact, it confused her. She tried to stop the spin of her mind. “Wh-what?”

He stroked her face with his thumbs while he dropped hot, sultry kisses to her lips. “You’re so beautiful.” His hips rocked, stroking his cock into her body. “So beautiful.”

His eyes closed; his thrusts quickened. He pressed his forehead to her cheek, wrapped his arms low on her waist, and held her hips steady as he fucked her, fast and deep. Tessa combed her hands through his hair, locked her arms behind his neck, and kissed his throat. And despite what he’d already put her through, her body responded.

“God…” she choked. The pleasure he pulled from her was unbelievable. And this time when she came, he was right there with her.

His handsome face glistened with sweat, his features creased with intense pleasure. “Fuck, Tessa,” he rasped, dropping his head to press his mouth to her shoulder, muffling his guttural growls of release.

His muscl

es went lax as he leaned his weight against her. Tessa lowered one hand to the ledge of the sofa, helping to steady herself.

She looked over her shoulder and found the door to Sophia’s room still closed. That let Tessa relax into the momentary bliss. She stroked her hands over his back and scored him with her nails, drawing a moan from his throat. Tessa smiled and tilted her head to whisper, “I could sleep with you in the other bedroom for a while. Move over to Sophia’s room before she wakes up.”

He lifted his head and looked at her with heavy lids and a sated expression. One hand stroked over her hair, the other touched her face. And he smiled. A sleepy, happy smile that warmed her. “That sounds like heaven.”

Zach pulled up to the gate of Jax Chamberlin’s Maui property with Sophia singing to the soundtrack of Moana in the backseat and Tessa holding his hand across the car’s console. He’d finished filming the last surfing scene earlier that day, and Jax had called to tell him the studio had an offer waiting.

He would have been elated if Tessa and Sophia’s departure wasn’t imminent. But they only had a few days left in Hawaii, leaving Zach unsettled and depressed.

The gates parted before Zach could even ring the bell, and a deep voice drenched with melodrama announced, “Enter at your own risk, mwahahahahaha” over the intercom with a laugh wicked enough to belong in a haunted house.

“Mommy?” Sophia’s nervous voice came from the backseat. “What’s that scary voice?”

“Effing idiots,” Zach said under his breath. Then he told Sophia, “It’s just my friends being silly.”

When he met Tessa’s gaze, she was smiling at him, and her eyes sparkled.

“Have I told you how beautiful you look?” he asked. She was wearing a pretty slip of a dress that accentuated all the curves of her body. Her hair was down and straight. She looked amazing.

“Maybe half a dozen times.” She looked ahead as they coasted inside the gates and onto the property. “Good Lord.” Her gaze skipped around the manicured grounds and over the three-story modern home at the water’s edge. “This is worth…millions. Like, multimillions.”

“And it’s only one of his homes.”

Her suspicious gaze turned on Zach. “He earns that much as a stuntman?”

Zach laughed. “Hardly. He was an actor before he started the Renegades. That’s where he got the bulk of his fortune.”

“Ah.”

The air in the car shifted, and Zach glanced at Tessa. He couldn’t pinpoint how he knew she’d grown tense, only that she had. “What’s bothering you?”

She shook her head and lowered her voice. “Our little angel isn’t always an angel, if you know what I mean. I hope we don’t embarrass you.”

Zach chuckled and squeezed her hand. “Believe me, if anyone’s going to embarrass me, it won’t be anyone in this car. It will be the other Renegades. And I’ll just go ahead and apologize in advance.”
