Fake Wife (Taming The Bad Boy Billionaire 8) - Page 59

I couldn’t believe this was really happening.

I moaned as his pace quickened and he thrust into me even harder, expertly keeping the perfect rhythm to drive me wild. His eyes started to narrow, and then eventually close as his head tilted back against his rolling shoulders. My body shook, quivered really, as it gripped tightly onto his.

We moved as one, my nails digging into his shoulders as I shifted against him, rolling my hips. Charlie deepened the angle, and each thrust sent me further over the edge. His tongue kept time, and I barely held on as we consumed each other. The temperature seemed to skyrocket around us, so hot that I feared if I opened my eyes, I’d see that we were engulfed in flames. Our lips couldn’t seem to get enough of each other, and Charlie groaned against my mouth, his whole body shaking as his arms tightened around me. His orgasm was building, as was mine, and as the last grumble of that sexy growl escaped his throat and hit his lips, we were exploding into one another like trains on the same track.

“Fuck,” he gasped, his shoulders falling limp and his eyes landing on mine with the same surprised, shocked, and excited look I’d had when he entered me.

An intense, explosive rush of pleasure shot through me as I climaxed. I screamed, unable to hold back, and we tumbled to the bed again, in a heap of sweaty limbs.

“Shit!” Charlie said, then groaned.

I nodded in agreement against his chest, unable to speak as I tried to catch my breath.

“I could swim the vastest oceans to see you smile that way,” he said. “That was just... Wow!”

“Yeah, pretty intense.”

“Intense?” he said with a chuckle. “Jaime, that was the greatest feeling in the world. Being with you always is,” he said, snuggling into me and kissing my lips again.

“I love how passionately you kiss,” I said.

“It’s only because I feel so alive when I’m with you.”

“Are you saying I inspire you?”

He kissed me yet again. “Definitely. You’re...everything, Jaime. I can’t believe I waited an entire lifetime to be with you.”

“It sure felt like a lifetime.”

I smiled and nestled as close to him as I could. I couldn’t believe Charlie was actually holding me, cuddling with me and talking to me like a lover. Everything about it felt so right. I cherished every second of it, and I knew those precious moments would be etched into my mind forever. As we continued our pillow talk, I looked into his dreamy eyes, and I could have sworn I could love him forever.

His fingers drew patterns on my thigh, and he kissed my forehead. “See what you’re missing out on? I think we’d get along great as a couple for those two years, no desert necessary.”

“Wait. Two years?” I asked, staring at him blankly. “So this is just... You’re only thinking about the Will?” Just like that, all the insane notions of saying yes to his request, of agreeing to be with him because he was finally admitting his feelings for me, went up in smoke, just like the flames of passion I thought we’d ignited moments earlier.

“You asshole!” I snapped and leapt off the bed. “Charlie, was this whole date and this...” I said, holding up the lacy panties on the tip of my finger. “Are you telling me this was all just another ploy to show me we can just be friends with benefits? That we can pull off a fake marriage just because you can fucking fake it for a few orgasms and a fake date at a bullshit bar?”

“What? No!” he argued, jumping off the bed to stop me as I charged toward the door. “I just wanted to show you a good time, to see you and—”

“See what, Charlie? How mind-blowing the sex could be? You wanted to see if you could be the best I’ve ever had? Which, yes, you were!”

He smirked. “Mind-blowing, huh? And the best you’ve ever had? Really?”

I yelled at him and threw my hands in the air. “You’re a moron, you know that? I can’t believe I fell for your shit.”

He moved in front of the door, blocking me from leaving. “Just wait. We need to talk about this. I—”

“What is there to talk about? I actually let myself think you were taking this seriously, taking me seriously. I thought maybe you finally realized it after all these years.”

His brow furrowed, and he reached out for me, but I pulled away from his grasp. “Realized what?”

I let out a bitter laugh. “The fact that you even have to ask is all the answer I need. I’m going to bed, alone. Don’t follow me, or I’ll sic my guard dogs on you.”

“You know they wouldn’t lay a paw on me,” he teased until I glared at him. “They love me.”

“They ought to, because you’re one of them!”

“You mean...one of your pets?”
