A Wicked Woman (Mail Order Bride of Slate Springs 3) - Page 22

“Imagine what it will feel like without your dress between our hands and your body,” Jed told her. His palms weighed and kneaded, cupped and stroked over her very plump breasts.

I stood so my body was pressed against hers, my hands skirting around her hips to dip inwards to press against her pussy. The dress was in the way, but I still could feel her heat.

“More,” she said boldly.

Our hands came away then and I moved around to see her face, all flushed cheeks, blurry eyes and parted lips.

“You… you stopped,” she murmured.

“We could strip you here in the entry, but you deserve a soft bed.”

I held out my hand and she glanced down at it, then up the stairs she so boldly climbed a little while ago. Letting out a pent-up breath, she put her palm in mine. Oh, it was so small, dainty even. I was a lumbering oaf and the feel of her reminded me I had to be careful. Leading her upstairs, I took her directly to my bedroom, Jed following.

Once he closed the door behind him—not that anyone would be coming in—he leaned against it. She wasn’t escaping.

Her fingers moved to the buttons at her throat, but I reached out and stilled them. “It’s your husbands’ job to do that.”

Glancing at me, she dropped her hands back to her sides and gave me a tiny nod.

With deft fingers—she wasn’t the first woman I undressed, but would be the last—I undid the tiny buttons down the front. Jed came behind and slid the material off her shoulders and down her arms. Beneath the blue dress, she wore a simple white corset, beneath it a thin chemise. Its straps brushed her pale shoulders.

She fidgeted her fingers as she glanced up at me. “Is this how it’s supposed to be?”

I ran my hand over my beard, wondered if it would be too scratchy on her dainty skin. “What do you mean?”

Her pink tongue darted out to lick her lower lip and I stifled a groan, wanting that same action on the tip of my cock.

“Well, I know what’s to happen. Generally,” she added quickly. Her innocent responses countered that statement otherwise. “But I didn’t think I’d feel like this. Well, feel anything at all.”

Jed moved to sit on the side of the bed, his knees parted. “Come here, Eve.”

With her dress about her waist, she closed the distance and Jed closed his legs, holding her in place.

“All you’re supposed to do is feel.”

“I think… no. I feel that you are holding back.” She glanced over her shoulder to look at me.

“You are a virgin,” I countered. “With two husbands who you first met this morning and now you’re being undressed. You are very brave to trust us with your body. We intend to keep you, so we want to make sure you don’t run off.”

She frowned. “Is the act itself so bad that you’re worried I’d do so?”

Jed stroked a hand over her shoulder, slid the dainty strap of her chemise off her shoulder. His eyes followed the simple act.

“Bad? The opposite, in fact. It’s going to be so, so good. Think you can trust us?”

Her head turned at Jed’s words.

“I… I don’t have much choice.”

“That’s where you’re wrong,” he replied, releasing his hold on her legs. “You have all the choice. Why do you think we keep asking what you want?”

She glanced between the two of us, then pushed her glasses up her nose, something I was recognizing as a nervous habit more than necessity.

“I want—” She took a breath, then another. So, so brave. “I want it to be good. So, so good.”
