Want You Back - Page 3

I loved how he laughed and how he smiled. It lit up his face and converted him from a solemn looking young man to a playful, handsome one. Okay, he was more than handsome. He was sex on a stick. The thick, devil may care, dirty blonde hair gave him a sinful appearance.

“Culinary, huh?” he asked, staring at me as if trying to read my very soul. “What drew you to it?”

I contemplated my answer. “To be perfectly honest I fell in love with the chef’s uniform.”

“Funnily enough, I can see you in a Chef’s gear. And it suits you.”

I told him the tale of me walking into a posh restaurant hotel, but refrained from telling him the real reason why I had stumbled into the restaurant. “What about you, why did you want to be a lawyer?”

He shrugged. “All the men in my family are lawyers, from my grandfather to my own father. My great grandfather was a clerk in a law firm eons ago.”

A stab of envy went through me. He said it so casually. His grandfather, father, and even great grandfather. I couldn’t imagine how awesome it must be to be able to trace your family three generations back. To know your family so intimately.

“It never crossed my mind to be anything else,” he added.

I don’t know whether it was because it was Saturday, and I didn’t have to go back to school or work until Monday, or I was just enjoying male company for the first time in many months. I downed my cocktail faster than I normally did, and before I knew it there was a new one in front of me.

Alex matched me and soon our voices grew louder and we laughed more. He felt like an old friend, but a super attractive one. I found myself fixated on the movements of his mouth. He had the most sensual lips I’d ever seen on a man.

Full and utterly suckable. At least that’s what my drunken brain told me. It had been so long since I had let loose and I was loving it. The last call for drinks rang out.

“One more?” Alex asked.

I shook my head. “No thanks, I’ve had enough.” Something strange had happened to me. Something that had never happened before. EVER. My thoughts had shifted. As if a switch had been turned on in my brain.

All I could think about was sex. The ache between my legs grew with every passing second, and I had to resist the crazy urge to touch myself. Unbelievable. In a public place. What was going on with me?

“Shall we leave?” Alex suggested, his voice husky, his eyes veiled.

“Yes,” I said quickly, and stood. I was a little unstable on my feet, but my little apartment was only a five-minute walk away. I lived in a cute place above a toy store right in the middle of town, and I loved the convenience of it.

College was within walking distance and so was my regular job. The only time I ever left town was for special event gigs, which paid more, like the one I had worked that afternoon.

As Alex helped me into my coat, the brush of his hands on my bare skin made goosebumps erupt on my flesh.

Alex

I’d never met anyone who lived smack in the middle of town. It was pretty cool actually. A door on the street led up a flight of stairs and then to a small landing and another door, which was her front door.

“Welcome.” She pushed the door open and stepped in. She flicked a switch and the small seating area was flooded with light. Her furniture was scanty, but I guess as a student, she needed very little.

Not that I was interested in her surroundings. As soon as she shut the front door, I took her hand and gently tugged her towards me. She was petite and I was hard for her.

The women I usually gravitated towards were a different breed from Charlotte. They were tougher, less sweet. They understood that it was going to be sex and nothing else. With Charlotte I would have to be gentle.

She came in a small but voluptuous package. The moment she removed her coat in the cocktail bar, a dark hunger for her had consumed me. For the period we’d been in the bar, all I had thought about was what it would feel like to cup her full breasts and flick my tongue over her nipples and hear her moan and beg for more.

She walked into my arms as naturally as though she had been doing it for years. She placed her delicate looking hands on my chest and parted her lips.

With a groan, I swooped down and crashed her lips with mine, forgetting the promise to myself to be gentle. There was no hesitation and no teasing around. The kiss deepened from the moment our lips touched. Our tongues swirled together creating beautiful music.
