“Maybe we should just take the short way home.” Preston leaned forward and cranked up the truck.
“I like that plan a lot better.” Hudson chuckled and put his hand on my thigh. “We shouldn’t keep our new wife waiting.”
“Yeah, otherwise she might run away again.” Preston pushed down on the gas pedal and turned in the direction that would lead back towards our house.
“That was one time…” I glared at him, but immediately grinned.
And there’s nothing in the world that could make me leave again.
