She watched him relax.
“We’re going to stop there on the way home and grab the rest of your things. Do you have a lease on the place?”
“No, it was month to month.”
“Good. I’ll get the owner’s name and give him a call.” He picked up her hand and kissed her knuckles. “You just made me a very happy man.”
She chuckled. “I’m glad. Let’s just hope you don’t regret it.”
“Never.”
A little over an hour later, they pulled into his spot and got out. He came around and helped her out. “I’ll grab the boxes if you
get the elevator.”
“Okay.” She rushed and got the elevator door opened and held it.
Kaleb brought the boxes and then scanned his key card before he wrapped an arm around her waist. “I gave the doorman at your old place both keys. Was that all you had?”
She nodded and smiled up at him.
“You know what this means, right?”
She shook her head. “No. What?”
“You’ve got nowhere else to go but our place or into my arms. You’re stuck with me.”
She chuckled. “I’m glad. I don’t need anything else.”
He used the side of his hand to tip her head up so he could take her lips. He exhaled when the elevator doors open into their condo.
He quickly picked up the boxes and set them on the dining room table and then pulled her back into his arms to continue the kiss. He pulled back when he heard his moan mixed in with her sigh. “We have to stop.”
She stared up at him. “Why?”
“I’m not sure you’re ready.”
She brushed the hair away from his forehead. “I think I am. We’ve been together for several weeks.”
“Baby, I need you to be sure. I don’t want to do anything that will take away your trust.”
She tightened her arms around his waist. “You’ve been so patient with me, and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate that, but I want us, no, I need us to take the next step. I want to feel as close to you as I possibly can. I want to give you all of me.”
“You’re definitely not ready for that, but I would die to get inside of you.”
“Why? What am I not ready for?”
“To give me your total submission.”
“Isn’t that what we’re about to do?”
He cupped her face and smiled gently down at her. “No, baby, to submit to me fully, I need to take your whole body, including your ass.”
Her eyes widened. “You mean…”
