Wake My Heart (Jasper Falls 1) - Page 94

He lifted and she yanked down his pants. The world stilled, and she held her breath for a split second, a thousand comparisons knocking at her mind, but she pushed them away. Breath pushed past her lips as she tried to remember how to do this.

“Come back up here.”

“No.” She shook her head. They’d been kissing for an eternity. This was where they were. “Just … give me a second.”

A second turned into a minute. Ryan folded his hands behind his head and shut his eyes, his face tense. “This is a little awkward.”

Realizing how difficult it must be to lie still while someone stared at your most intimate parts, triggered her into motion. Her hand closed around his length, and he sucked in an audible breath. She stroked slowly, familiarizing herself with his velvet smooth skin and the weight of him in her hand.

“You have no idea how good that feels.”

She hadn’t even started. Leaning forward, she placed a kiss on the smooth tip, and he cursed. “How do you like it done?”

“However you do it.”

Bullshit. Everyone had a preference. “I’m good at this. I’m just rusty. But if you tell me what you like, I’ll do it.”

He tipped his chin to his tattooed chest and studied her for a moment. “Really?”

Half her mouth curled into a smirk, and she lifted a shoulder. “Some girls like crafts. I like blowjobs.”

His head fell to the carpet with a thunk. “I have to be dreaming.”

“Let’s see.” She leaned forward and took him into her mouth, moving quickly up and down until the length of his erection was slick with saliva. “Awake yet?”

“No, I think I died and went to heaven.”

She laughed and ducked again, this time tracing her tongue slowly up the length of his shaft. He groaned and spread his legs wider, giving her more room.

His hand gently cupped the back of her head. She loved the feel of him holding her to him and hummed happily, dragging her mouth up and down.

“Please don’t stop.”

Her mouth formed a smile around him. Even during blowjobs, he remained polite. She took her time, teasing and drawing out his pleasure. The more comfortable she became the more pleasure she took for herself as well.

His breathing shifted, and his lungs pumped faster as she increased her speed and the pressure. She stroked and sucked him, making sure to hit every pleasure point. His flesh trembled under her tongue, and he moaned her name. She tightened her grip and worked him faster, her lips curling around the smooth tip and working his release.

He cursed and his body pulsed under her touch as she finished him. Loosening her grip of his tender flesh, she licked over him, taking her time as he breathed through the aftershocks of his climax.

Ryan panted on the floor. She curled into his side and rested her head in the crook of his arm. He pulled her close and kissed her temple then softly chuckled. “You topped my ribs.”

She laughed. “Your ribs started it. From now on, consider them an aphrodisiac.”

He sighed, the sound full of masculine contentment. “Now, I need a nap. I wish I had a blanket down here.”

“Want to go upstairs?”

“No, I don’t want to move.”

He lay with his pants around his hips, his softening erection completely exposed, and his arm holding her tight. She loved seeing him so relaxed. His comfort eased her.

It only took a few minutes for her eyes to grow heavy and her mind to still. The slow beat of his heart played in her ear while she used his chest as a pillow and peacefully drifted off.

“Oh, sweet Jesus!”

The earth moved and Maggie fumbled back, her head colliding with something hard. Ryan sprung to his feet and shouted, “Mum, what the hell are you doing here?”

A shrill female voice pierced the air. “For God’s sake, Ryan, put yourself away!”

Maggie’s hands flew to her mouth as the woman—presumably Ryan’s mother—turned beet red and covered her eyes.

He turned and zipped his pants then pivoted. “Why are you here?”

Maggie scurried behind a sofa pillow and covered her body only to remember she was still fully dressed.

“Colleen had an extra table and chairs,” the woman shouted, still shielding her eyes. “Your father and I brought it over for you to put in your kitchen.”

“On a Friday night?” Ryan snapped.

“I didn’t think you would have company!”

Maggie’s face burned. She stood and mumbled, “I’m gonna go.”

“Oh, don’t leave on our account, dear.” His mother rounded the furniture and paused at the sight of ribs and melted pina coladas. “I see you needed the table more than I realized.” She returned her attention to Maggie. “I’m Rosemarie and this is Ryan’s father—” She scowled at the empty living room. “Where the hell did he go? Liam!”

“What?”

“Where are you?”

Maggie flinched at the shrill way they spoke to each other, shouting through everyday conversations, as if it were totally normal to scream at walls.
