Cowboy Kisses (Kissing Junction, TX 9) - Page 12

“Oh guys. It’s perfect. This. Is. The. One,” I say looking at myself in the mirror. It's a gorgeous long-sleeved dress with a lace bodice that has mother of pearl buttons down my back. It's form fitting to just past my hips then it flares out beautifully down to the ground.

I can’t wait to see Gages face when he sees me in it.

Chapter Eight

Gage

It’s only been five hours since school ended for the day. I force myself to calm down. I know she is out with the girls, hopefully finding her dream

wedding dress. I try watching SportsCenter, but even that doesn’t capture my interest. I start pacing like a crazy person. There is no reason to be this way, except that she isn’t by my side where she fucking belongs.

Forty-five minutes later she waltzes in like she wasn’t just gone all fucking day.

“Hey Baby Daddy,” she says setting her things down on the counter and running to jump into my arms. I catch her easily. “I brought you a steak from Outback,” she says kissing me.

“Thank you, Kitten.”

“I missed you today, Baby Daddy, but I found my dress. The girls really helped me today.”

“I missed you too. I don’t think I can handle that shit again. Now that you are mine, I don’t want to be away from you even minimally.

“You have to. I have to go to school.” She climbs down my body, but not before she grinds her pussy into my cock.

“I know but that doesn’t mean I have to like it.” I sound like a pissed off teenager.

“You will be happy to know the girls and I did everything for the wedding today. I found the venue and put down the deposit. It’s refundable if you don’t like it,” she says hesitantly.

“I don’t care where we get married, as long as we do. Soon.”

“Yay. It’s the Rough Creek Lodge over in Glen Rose. It’s gorgeous. I picked a menu and everything.”

I already knew this because my credit card company called me. I don’t use that card much and they wanted to make sure it hadn’t been stolen. I called the Lodge and booked the honeymoon suite as a surprise for my new bride. Even though she won’t legally be able to drink, I ordered us a bottle of champagne to celebrate privately.

“Five days seems like a long time from now,” I say.

“Wait a minute. I didn’t tell you when the wedding is yet. How do you know?”

“Visa called to make sure the card wasn’t stolen. While I was on the phone with them, I ordered you your own. We’ll go down to the bank after the wedding to get you added to the bank accounts.”

“Accounts?”

“My personal account, the ranches account, Donnie and Verity are on that one as well. There is also something my mother and aunts started called the Ladies Fund. You and Verity will be on that one as well.”

“That’s a little overwhelming,” she says sitting down on a bar stool at the island in the kitchen.

“What do you mean?”

“I haven’t really had access to money until I moved in with Karlene. She gave me the money the state gave her to house me. She didn’t need it.”

I move closer to her. “Kitten, you will never have to worry about a thing again. Ever. I am going to take care of you.”

“No one has ever really done that. Not even Karlene. I was grown. I am grown. Why do I want you take care of me?”

“Because you love me, and I love you. That’s what husbands and wives do.”

“Do they? Shit, I don’t even know how to be a wife? Are we rushing into this?”

“Cut that shit out right now Lorelei. You are going to be the best wife to me, I already know that. I don’t want to hear you doubting yourself or us again. We got this. You understand?” She nods. “Tell me you understand,” I demand.
