Chasing You (Love Wanted in Texas 5) - Page 28

“Wait a second. I need to process,” Grace said slowly.

Lauren gasped. “How in the hell do you forget to tell us he told you he was falling in love with you? Oh. My. Glitter. This is huge!”

Grace cleared her throat. “What did you say to him?”

“When?”

“Jesus H. Christ, Meg. When he said he was falling in love with you.”

My heart felt like it stopped beating. “I said I was falling in love with him too.”

Grace and Lauren both gasped. “Holy fucking shit balls, this is huge!” Grace said as Lauren chuckled.

“This is beyond huge, Grace! Meg’s in love! Meg. Is. In. Love!”

I rolled my eyes as I pulled my knees up to my chest and wrapped my left arm around them. “Gesh, Lauren. Why don’t you make it seem like I’m not capable of loving?”

“No, Meg I think it’s great. I’m just surprised.”

“I’m not, I heard the two of them having sex before.”

“Gross, Grace”,” Lauren said while making a gagging sound.

“You’re gagging? Bitch do you know how many times I’ve heard Meagan calling out while getting fu—”

My legs dropped as I jumped down. “Okay, can we just stop now? What am I going to do y’all?”

“About what?” Grace asked.

I lifted my hand and waved it around like a crazy person. “This! This whole Grayson thing where he told me he loved me when he was falling asleep. How do I even know if he meant it?”

Lauren sighed. “I’ve got this one, Grace. Let’s see, he told you earlier he was falling in love with you. He gave you an amazing day where y’all didn’t focus on sex, but instead on just being with each other, and then he told you he loved you. It doesn’t matter if he said it while he was nodding off. Meg, sweetie, Grayson is in love with you and has probably been wanting to tell you for some time now.”

I felt my cheeks instantly blush as I smiled. “Grace?”

“I totally agree wi

th Lauren. The fact that he spent an entire day with you, dog-ass tired, from lack of sleep I might add, and to tell you he was falling in love with you. Oh, Meg, honey I see the way the two of you look at each other. Babe, I think you met your lobster.”

“Yes!” Lauren said with a giggle. “Your lobster!”

“Oh my God,” I whispered. “I’m in love with him. I’m so in love with him, y’all. What if he ends up hurting me? I don’t think my heart could take it.”

“That’s what love is, Meg. It’s a risk and a scary one at that. But if you just let go and fall, I promise you the landing is so worth it.”

Tears built in my eyes as I fought for the words to say. Clearing my throat, I smiled as I said, “Lauren, when did you become so wise?”

“Jesus H. Christ, Lauren. You made me cry you little bitch,” Grace said as she sniffled.

“It’s the pregnancy hormones, Grace,” Lauren said.

“Yeah, probably”,” Grace said as she blew her nose.

I looked at myself in the mirror as I slowly shook my head and sat down on the toilet again. Putting my head in my hand, I moaned. “So what do I do now? What if he doesn’t remember saying it?”

“He’ll remember”,” Grace and Lauren said at once.

“What if he doesn’t? Do I say something? I mean what do you say in a situation like this? Oh hey, Gray, last night before you passed out on me you changed my entire world, do you remember that because I’ll never forget it for as long as I live. Do you remember telling me you loved me?”
