Vendetta Road (Torpedo Ink 3) - Page 52

He took her hand and led her to the small table. The jeans were a designer brand she actually wore so she knew the size that fit her like a glove. She chose a pair and Ice added a second one. She had to bite her lip to keep from pointing out how expensive they were. He flashed his heart-stopping grin, almost as if he knew what she was thinking, and then he led her over to the tank tops that were sheer luxury. So soft. Lightweight. Perfect. She let him choose the ones he liked.

Ice caught her hand and tugged her under his shoulder again. He evidently liked her close, and she didn’t mind in the least. They made their way back to Alena and Diana.

Ice handed the owner the jeans and tanks. “Where are your couture gowns? Alena told you what I wanted? Soleil needs something particularly spectacular for tonight.”

“I do?” Couture dresses? Was he out of his mind? How did he even know what that was? Gowns like that were thousands of dollars.

He kissed her hand. “Yeah, you do. And I want pictures. Lots of them.”

Alena blew him a kiss. “We’ve already got that covered.” She glanced at her watch. “You’ve got about an hour. A little less.”

“I’ll show you the dresses,” the owner said, looking Ice up and down with interest blazing in her eyes.

Ice moved away from her. “Just tell us what part of the store they’re in and we’ll find them. That’s half the fun.” Deliberately, he bent his head and brushed a kiss across Soleil’s mouth. “Isn’t it, princess?”

She nodded, shocked that he didn’t flirt back with the owner. She was tall and beautiful. Very elegant. Ice didn’t so much as glance at her. He was most definitely wholly focused on Soleil. She couldn’t help but feel beautiful and sexy. No one had ever done that for her before. Her money was a draw, but never her as a woman. Ice made her so happy.

She went with him in the direction the owner had indicated, and when she glanced back, Alena was tugging Diana toward the back room. The dresses were toward the front of the store, framed by the windows but back away across the aisle. There were few lights on and those were dim, as the boutique was officially closed. The lights that were on shone on the couture dresses, and Soleil was shocked at the designers represented.

“Ice, these dresses cost a fortune.”

“Baby, didn’t I tell you not to worry about money tonight? We have an agreement. I like a couple of these. That one there. What do you think about it? It looks your size. Alena said if it needed alterations, Diana could do them.” He indicated a dress with white open lace over a silken black slip. It was gorgeous. And pricey.

She moistened her lips but didn’t speak.

“Or this one. It would suit you as well. It’s about the same length, formfitting and sexy as hell. This one is my favorite.”

Like the other dress, this one was white, but one side was completely made up of peekaboo fabric, small diamonds cut out of the material to show skin from shoulder to ankle on one side. The chiffon wrap on the other side covered one breast and wrapped around the waist, colliding with the peekaboo fabric. The slit up the front was wide and bold, with the chiffon dropping to the floor on either side. Concealed beneath the chiffon were panties made of the peekaboo material, so the diamonds showed beneath the dramatic slit when she walked.

“I could push my fingers right through that fabric and keep you wet for me all night,” he whispered wickedly.

“Ice, I love it, but it’s too—”

“That’s it, woman. I told you not to bring up money again.” His hands dropped to his jeans and he opened them, sliding them off his hips easily so that his cock sprang free.

They were in front of a long storefront window, one that showcased the couture gowns. The light was dim in the store, but the streetlight seemed to shine right on him. She gasped, staring at his cock. He was gorgeous. That particular part of him went with his amazing good looks. It was hard and thick, standing straight up, and he looked so casual and at ease standing there, waiting. He was . . . beautiful.

She just stared until he caught her by the shoulders and pushed her to the floor, right there, in front of the couture gowns. “Use your mouth for something better than arguing with me, woman.”

Soleil was shocked at the way her body went hot and slick at the idea of getting him off there in the store with the owner just a small distance away. He was larger than she’d expected, but she wanted him in her mouth. She wanted the taste of him on her tongue.
