My Dad's Bossy Friend - Page 8

Reaching my hand out for her, she steps forward, but doesn't take it. Her eyes move from my hand to my face, and I grin. “Don't be shy now, you certainly weren't shy earlier.” Wriggling my fingers, she gently places her hand in mine.

“You better not be trying to get me fired, Kent. I'm supposed to be tending the pool, checking to make sure the property is clean, and the yard is watered. I'm here for you, but not for you. Understand?”

“I understand that I'm going to change your mind. You weren't sent for me, but now you're here for me.” Holding her fingers tight, I pull her out the door, and we start walking up West Palm Avenue.

We're still holding hands, our fingers gingerly tangled, but neither one of us is letting go. She's watching her feet as she walks, kicking a small rock with each step.

“Look, an ice cream truck. Want one?”

“Sure,” she says, partially looking up at me.

Standing at the truck, I order a simple vanilla cone, and Perri gets a peanut butter frozen yogurt. The beach is right beside us, so I start to walk toward the water.

“So,” I ask as my feet drop into the sand. “Why are you really here?”

“What do you mean?”

“I know you've always shown interest, but you've never actually been a part of your dad's business, so why now?”

With her mouth full of ice cream, she waves her spoon in the air. “Seriously?” she asks, arching a brow. “I've been begging for this opportunity, but it didn't matter how many times I asked, he always said no.”

“Not this time.”

“You're right, which is why I was suspicious of you.”

“You're not suspicious anymore?” I ask.

“Not like I was. I mean you did bang me,” she says, looking at me and giving me a sexy little grin. “Then again, isn't sleeping with the enemy how people get what they want too?”

“I'm not the enemy, I can tell you that.” Reaching the edge of the water, I kick off my shoes and sit down. “I’m certainly not that diabolical.”

Perri sits beside me and she looks out at the water. “It's beautiful, isn't it?”

“It is,” I say, but I'm not looking the ocean, or the sun as it's hovering right above the horizon, I'm looking at her. “It is beautiful, but I'm not sure she even knows it.”

“She?” she asks as she flicks her eyes up and realizes where I'm looking. “Ah, smooth.” Taking a spoonful of ice cream, she grins and flashes her brows. “Does that work on all your other fuck buddies?”

“Fuck buddies?”

“Yeah, the girls you just sleep with and have no relationship at all. No strings attached sex.”

“I know what it means.” Shaking my head, I laugh. “How old do you think I am?”

Perri giggles and gives me a nudge. “I don't think you're that old, but I do like that you're older.”

“Well, I don't know what you think about me, but I'm not running around with a bunch of women. I had a girlfriend, we broke up. Not a lot of drama there. No string of women in between. And then there's you.”

“Really?” she asks, licking the back of her spoon.

I watch her lick the spoon, swirling her tongue around the center, and running it over the curve of the bottom.

All I can think about is my cock being in her mouth, how it might feel as she licks up my shaft and sucks my tip like a lollipop. Her cheeks hollowing as she pulls my dick deeper into her mouth.

I can see it clear as day. Her hands on my thighs, my dick in her mouth, her tongue flattening as she slips her head all the way down until I hit the back of her throat and she gags.

My shaft jerks at the picture in my head, thickening instantly. I'm ready to bang her again. I can feel my heart start to race and my blood as it pumps through my body and down to my cock.

“What?” she asks, pulling me out of my head.

“Hm?”

“You're staring at me. Do I have ice cream on my face or something?” She starts to wipe her small napkin around her mouth.

“Oh, no, there's nothing on your face.”

“Then what are you looking at?” she asks with a giggle.

“I'm looking at you, but I was picturing you sucking my dick, and licking it the same way you were just licking that spoon.”

She coughs as she swallows, and places her hands on her chest as she looks back at the ocean. “Didn't expect that,” Perri says with a smile.

“Well, honesty is important, right?”

Shaking her head yes, she looks at me and smiles. “Thank you for showing up when you did earlier, I'd be—”

“Uh,” I quickly cut her off and hold up my hand. “Don't, I don't want you to thank me for doing what I was supposed to.” Smirking, I nudge her lightly. “Besides, you paid me back already.” Bouncing my brows, her eyes light up and her smile broadens.

God damn this girl is so damn beautiful. Her green eyes sparkle like emeralds, her small nose is speckled in freckles that run under her eyes, and thin out as they reach the very edge.

Her cheeks are plump, her chin petite and perfect. She has small but beautiful tits, and curves that I could ride for days.

“What ever happened to romance?” she asks, her voice joking and sarcastic. “I know we did things backwards, but I'm expecting dinner and movie now.”

“If you want romance, I can give you romance. Is that what you really want? You want true romance?”

“Isn't that what all girls want?”

“I don't know, but I can tell you the one thing I've learned is to go after what you want. There's no point in waiting because you could end up waiting forever. Who wants to wait forever? I don't.”

“Well, I don't want to wait forever for romance then.”

Popping the last bit of my ice cream cone into my mouth, I swipe my hands back and forth over each other. Pushing myself up off the sand, I stretch my hand out and help her up.

“Romance it is then. Get ready to be swooned, swept off your feet, and everything in between.”

Perri giggles as she digs her heels in the sand with each step. “Should I be afraid?”

“It's too late for that, you asked for it, now you're going to get it. There's no taking it back.”

“This is going to be interesting.”

Braiding our fingers together, we walk hand in hand. “No, this is going to be everything you've ever wanted.”

There's something about this girl that feels right. She hits me in a way no other woman has before. There's a heat in my gut and it's spreading through my body.

And I like it. I want it. I don't want it to stop.

sp; I want more of her. Her hand feels perfect in mine. Soft, delicate, almost breakable, but perfectly created for just my hand. She’s meant to be at my side.

Like she was made for me.

Can one person be everything I've ever wanted? Everything I’ve wanted but didn’t even know I needed?

It doesn't seem possible.

I've watched her for the last few years after pairing up with her father. Quietly sitting in the background, voiceless, but always there, doing whatever small, menial tasks her father asked for, and never complaining. But still, always there.

I'm not sure if her father ever noticed I was paying attention to how he treats her, but I was. I watched him treat her like a maid, like an intern that no one cares about, and doesn't see going anywhere in the company.

And I learned one very important thing about Perri. Despite all the shit he's given her, all the crappy, little jobs he assigns her, she always comes back. She's determined. And I can see it in her face, in how she takes pride in her work no matter how pointless it might be, she wants to be noticed.

Perri wants to be accepted, to be seen as capable, to be seen as equal to her father. As an asset to his company.

Well, I see her. I see her with clear eyes, and now I'm going to help her see it too. She doesn't need his approval to be amazing.

She's already there.

Perri

His hand. . . I like it there.

Holding, coddling, gently stroking across my knuckles as he mindlessly looks around. It's as if he isn't even aware he's doing it. But I notice it, I feel it, and I sense it. The hair on the back of my neck stands up, and my skin buzzes as he opens his fingers and adjusts his hand.

His fingers tighten around mine, securely holding me right at his side as we walk back to the beach house. The roughness of his skin scratches against my palm, sending a chill over my body.

I look up at him from the corner of my eyes, admiring this older man. His sharp jawline, bold blue eyes, aged, but perfect skin. He's a man who works for what he wants, who knows what hard work is, and I can feel that in his touch alone.
