Unexpected Fight (Unexpected Arrivals 2) - Page 20

“Lie back,” he whispers.

I move to lie on my back, and he settles in next to me. “Morning, beautiful,” he says, kissing the corner of my mouth. His hands roam over my breasts, and he tweaks my nipples. “I wish I could stay in bed with you all day,” he murmurs.

“I think I could get on board with that plan.”

“Yeah? Maybe I should give you something to hold you over until tonight.”

“Am I seeing you tonight?”

“Every night.” His hands roam lower, and lower, and lower until he’s there sliding one long thick finger inside me. “So fucking wet,” he murmurs, pressing his lips to mine. “About last night,” he says, leisurely stroking in and out of me. “I want to make sure there’s no room for a freak-out in that beautiful head of yours. We’re in this together.”

I nod.

“In fact, I can see it clearly.” He leans in close, his hot breath next to my ear. “You growing round with our baby.” His dick twitches against my thigh. “And,” he says, angling away and pulling his finger free only to add another, “if that’s not our path, I can still see it. The life we’re going to create together.”

He does this thing with his fingers where he curls them upward. and I gasp at the sensation. “Ty,” I moan.

“I’m right here, baby.” He pumps his hand faster, leaning over and capturing a nipple in his mouth. He sucks hard, nipping with his teeth. It’s as if he sends shots of electricity to my core. “That’s it,” he says as I lift my hips to meet his thrust. “Take what you need.” His hand moves faster, his fingers doing delicious things to my body. “Give it to me, Reags. I want to hear you,” he encourages. My nails dig into his arm, the one that’s pulsing in and out of me, the other grips the sheets as the euphoric sensation starts to build. I’m standing on the edge of bliss; it’s so close I can taste it. His hand never slows, two fingers in and out. In and out. “I love you so fucking much, Reagan Beckett.” It’s his whispered words of love that push me off the cliff. I call out his name just before his lips crash into mine. He doesn’t stop the ministrations of his hand until the final wave of my orgasm has passed. When he does, he brings them to his lips and sucks them into his mouth.

“I can’t believe you just did that,” I say, covering my face with my hands.

“What? Finger you?”

“No, that.” I point to his fingers he just pulled from his mouth.

“Tasting you?”

“Yes.”

“Oh, sweetheart.” He smirks. “That’s something you’re going to have to get used to. In fact, if I had more time, I’d take my time tasting you.” He moves to hover over me. His tattooed arms hold his weight. “Let me show you.”

Before I realize what’s happening, he’s nestled between my thighs, pushing them open with his large hands, and his mouth is on my clit. His tongue, swipes once, twice, three times before he sucks gently.

“What are you doing to me?” I mumble as the feel of his tongue… there washes over me.

“Loving you.” He says it as if they’re the easiest words he’s ever spoken. Settling on his knees, he wipes his face on his arm. “As bad as I hate to leave you here like this, I really need to get going. This”—he runs his fingers through my folds—“will have to hold you over until tonight.”

“You’re evil,” I say with a smile. I’m so thoroughly sated I can’t even pretend to be irritated with him.

“Pack a bag. We can stay at my place tonight. I don’t know what time I’ll be home. I’ll text you when we’re done for the day.”

“Okay. Have a good day.”

“You too, baby. Love you.” He kisses me quickly and climbs out of bed. I watch him as he finds his discarded clothes and dresses quickly. “I’ll call about your car today too.”

“I can do that.”

“I know you can, but I don’t want them taking advantage of you because you’re a woman. Let me do this for you.”

“Thank you,” I concede. I’m as independent as they come, but I have to admit, it’s nice to have someone, not family, specifically Ty in my corner.

“That’s my girl. Get some more sleep. Love you,” he says again with another quick kiss, and then he’s gone.

I hold my breath, listening as his boots trek across the small living area. When the door opens and then closes, I hear him try the handle to make sure I’m locked inside. I exhale. Jumping out of bed, I race to the small window and watch as his truck pulls away. I see my reflection in the window, and my smile is wide. In my wildest dreams, I never thought we would make it to this point. Now that I have him and see what it’s like to be his, I never want it to be any other way.

Chapter 12

Tyler

“Damn, I’m glad this job is done,” Seth says as we load up the back of Ridge’s truck with all our tools.

“No kidding. Old-man Marcum changed his mind more than Mark changes his underwear.” Kent laughs.

“Hey, guys. I say we call it a day. It’s Friday, and we’ve already got over forty in this week. In fact, let’s head back to my place. Kendall made a crockpot full of chicken and rice for dinner last night. It’s way more than she and I will ever eat.”

We all agree and finish packing up the tools. Mark rode with me from the shop this morning while Kent and Seth rode with Ridge. We follow him to his place, and when we pull into the drive, I see something that brightens my day. Reagan’s car is in the driveway. Knowing that she’s supposed to be at work, I glance down and see a message from her.

Reagan: Hey, my last client of the day—a four-hour appointment—canceled at the last

minute. I’m calling it a day. Text me when you’re on your way home.

It’s been a few weeks now since the night I confessed I was in love with her. Things have been great, and we never sleep alone. Hell, at this point I’m not sure that I could. I tried it a few nights when we were working out of town, but that was before. Before I confessed what she means to me. Before she confessed she feels the same. I never want to be away from her. That’s the best part about seeing her car in the drive. I get to see her now. I was secretly planning on eating and making excuses to leave just so I could swing by her shop to say hello and steal a kiss. Maybe two. Now I don’t have to.

Smiling, I slide my phone back into my pocket and climb out of the truck. I make my way to the back porch where I hear Knox’s squeals of laughter. I come up short when I see Kent standing with his arm around Reagan.

“Not yours,” I say, slowly walking toward them.

“No?” he asks, challenging me.

“Nope.” I hold my hand out for Reagan, and she takes it, allowing me to pull her from his arms. “Hey, baby,” I whisper, before kissing her softly on the lips.

“No. No,” Knox says, pointing at me.

“Looks like you’ve got some competition, Justice,” Seth teases.

I ignore him and keep my eyes on Reagan. “Do I?”

“I don’t know. I mean, that little guy has a pretty big chunk of my heart,” she says, smiling up at me.

“And the other piece?”

“It’s not mine either,” she says. “This man, tall, rugged, looking delectable with a beard, and covered in ink, he swooped in when I wasn’t looking and snatched it away from me.”

“Yeah?”

“Mm-hmm.” She nods.

“This guy have a name? Sounds like I have some ass to kick.”

“Tyler,” she says on a wispy breath. “His name is Tyler.”

I smile. “I missed you.” I kiss the corner of her mouth. “I didn’t get your message until we pulled in.”

“Yeah, I had a four-hour rainbow color, meaning she wanted her hair dyed all the colors of the rainbow. She has super short hair, but it was still going to be at least four hours. I marked off my entire afternoon and knew it would run over. She canceled about twenty minutes prior saying she chickened out and changed her mind. So her

e I am. I told the girls to lock up when they left, and I’d deal with the deposit and everything else tomorrow.”

“You have clients tomorrow?” I know my girl. She may not have herself scheduled, but it’s hard for her to tell her clients no.

“Nope. I’m all yours.”

“Damn right, you are,” I say, winking.

“Get over here and eat, you two,” Kendall calls. Hand in hand, we join them at the table. Kendall hands us each a plate that we pile high with leftover chicken and rice. The way the seats are arranged, there is one open on either side of the table. Deciding that won’t do, I pull Reagan into my lap. She doesn’t seem to mind as she hands me my plate and scoots to my knees, placing her own plate on the table.
