You Are Ours, Alice - Page 13

"Rayé!"

I cry his name out as my body reaches its first orgasm, and for a few seconds my mind just goes entirely blank at the sheer hot pleasure of my cum gushing past my folds.

You're ours, Addie.

It's what I think I hear the shifter whispers as he straightens and gazes down at me with fiercely possessive moss-jade eyes.

You're ours, just fucking ours, and you can never belong to anyone else.?? Oh dear. ??I KNOW IT'S STUPID, but it's what I first think when I wake up.

Oh dear.

Memories crowd my mind, vivid enough to make my body tingle all the way to my toes. With my eyes still closed, it's just too easy to recall the sound of his growl, the first time he hears me whimper his name. And when I think about the feel of the were-tiger's mouth on my throbbing sex—-

"You're back..."

The familiar sound of Chassie's relief-filled voice is like having a bucket of ice-cold water splashed on my face, and I quickly sit up. Looking around, I realize right away I'm in the school infirmary, and my bed is right next to the dark green curtain separating the sleeping area from the rest of the clinic.

I try to remember how I got back, but all I can remember is Rayé...

"Addie?"

The apprehension in her tone draws my attention back to her. I know I should reassure her I'm alright, but instead I hear myself ask, "Is Rayé here?"

"I haven't seen him," Chassie answers uncertainly. "Is he supposed to be here?"

"I...guess not." All I asked him is to help me leave Wunderland, and he did exactly that. So...him not being here is fine. Right? It's not like we're dating or anything. Right?

"Addie?"

"Sorry." I grimace in apology, not liking how I've become this little drama queen just because of one sexual encounter. And that's all it is, Addie, I tell myself forcefully. That's all it is.

"If you're looking for Rayé," Chassie asks, "does that mean you went back to Wunderland?"

I nod, and the other girl sighs in relief.

"I'm so glad. You fainted in class—-"

Shit.

I hurriedly swing my legs off the bed, no longer bothered by thoughts of Rayé. "Do you know if they've already called my sister?" I ask uneasily as I got to my feet. "I can't have her worried—-"

"I took care of that," Chassie surprises me by saying. "I remember what you told me about your family, so I figured you wouldn't want the school to call your home."

Her words come as a relief, and I sit back down on the bed. "What did you tell them?" I lower my voice, adding, "I need to know so we can get our stories straight—-"

"Actually..."

Oh no.

It's that 'actually' again, and with Chassie squirming in her seat once more...

"How bad is it?" I force myself to ask.

"It's not bad at all," she reassures me in a rush.

I blink at her. If nothing's bad, why then...

"I kinda asked the school doctor..."

I'm even more confused, with the way my friend is stumbling over her own words. "What about him?" All I can remember is that the school doctor's fairly new, but that's it.

"I asked him not to call your house," Chassie admits.

"And he agreed?"

"He did indeed," another voice drawls just as the man in question strides into view like a male model in a lab coat.

Oho.

Hand-combed ash-blond locks, silver eyes behind a pair of wire-rimmed glasses, and a tremendously sexual presence that makes me wonder if it's even legal to hire someone like him to work in a high school. It's like exposing underaged girls to porn in the flesh, you know?

I turn to Chassie, wanting to see if she's thinking along the same lines—-

Huh.

Well, now.

So that's the way the cookie crumbles.

The sparks flying between Chassie and the gorgeous older guy are enough to create a pyrotechnic show, and when my friend finally notices me staring—-

I start to snicker, and Chassie's face flames up. "It's n-not what you think," she stammers.

"The lady doth protests too much." I'm just teasing of course, but with the way she's blushing even harder now, her feelings are a no-brainer at this point, and when I turn to the school doctor to see how he's taking it—-

Whoa.

I'm torn between minding my own business and feeling like I need to file a report or something. I know Chassie's already eighteen like me, but she's a student, and he's in a position of authority.

"Ahem." I deliberately call for the school doctor's attention, and as soon as our gazes meet, I give him a good, hard stare, just so he knows I have Chassie's back, always.

A part of me expects him to either frown back or act innocent, but instead he gives me an approving look. "It's good that you worry about her," he comments, "but it's unnecessary. My brothers and I have known her since she was but a little girl—-"
