Always Loved You - Page 30

I whisper the I love yous. I shout her name. She cries out mine when she comes. Her body tenses and shivers and shakes until every drop of her ecstasy is wrung from her. Worn out, her head drops to my shoulder and her hands dangle at her side. Still hard and still embedded inside of her pulsing hot pussy.

I haven’t taken her here but I will. There won’t be a square centimeter of this house that I won’t have fucked her on or over. I move again inside of her. Her eyes fly open.

“You’re still hard.”

“Since the day I saw you,” I growl.

Orchard shakes her head. “Why didn’t you say anything?”

“You were eighteen, Orchard. I don’t think it would’ve been appropriate to tell you that I walked around with a constant erection.”

“Maybe if you did, things would’ve been different,” she says, all sassy and cute.

I pinch her chin. “ Maybe so.” But I’m not thinking about the past. I’m concentrating on the present and the feel of her slick, soft, tight skin hugging my marble-hard shaft as I work in and out of her channel. Soon enough she’s not interested in rehashing the past either as she chases her second orgasm of the night. After another toe-curling release, I collapse on the mattress beside her. She murmurs something that I can’t make out but I assume it’s “I love you.” That’s what I want it to be. I whisper it back and then pull the covers over us to sleep.

“What’s this?” she asks suspiciously the next morning at breakfast. We’re having it in her sunroom. The fire is lit and the air conditioning is running, which is an expensive and extravagant waste but I like it. The crackle of the logs and the smell of cedar logs makes everything in here extra cozy.

“It’s a gift. I meant to give it you the other night but things got away from us.”

She screws up her nose at my glossing over of a big fight. “It better not be the grocery store.”

“I’ve already called Grant off. Since Grandma Firenze sold to you and Abigail, it makes no sense to pursue it.” Besides, with me holding nearly a quarter of the business, there’s no way anyone else can buy a sizeable position and try a takeover. I’ll just sit on the shares and gift them to Orchard at Christmas.

“Good, because we aren’t selling.” She picks up the velvet box. “I still can’t imagine what this is.”

“I’ve obviously not given you enough jewelry in the past five years. An experienced Fifth Avenue socialite would be able to identify the piece by the size of the box.”

“Well, I’m not a socialite and we don’t live on Fifth Avenue, so that might be the first problem.” She pops the box open and gasps. Her hand flies to her mouth and her eyes fly to meet mine. “This is too much!”

“Is it? Cheaper than the grocery store.” I rise from the chair and go around to lift the necklace out of the box. While I’m fastening it, I tell her the story of the soldier who had gone away and his fiancée who waited for decades for his return.

“That’s very romantic.” She sniffs and turns her head to the side.

“You’re not crying again?” I panic and grab the napkin off the table, which disturbs the orange juice glass that nearly falls off the table before I grab it. Juice splashes all over Orchard’s eggs and toast. “Shit.” I start mopping it up but do a piss poor job. Orchard takes the napkin from my hand and leads me away from the mess to the sofa situated against the far wall.

“We’re starting new, right?” she says as she forces me to sit down.

“Yes.” I pull her onto my lap and nuzzle her neck.

“New marriage means new rules. You’re not allowed in the kitchen or near any cleaning products.”

“I’m okay with this.” Her robe gapes open and I take advantage by slipping my hand inside to cup her tit. I thumb her quiescent nipple until it hardens into a point that begs for my mouth. Twisting her body slightly, I pull her into position so I can suck on the pert nip. Her fingers comb through my hair.

“You have to say I love you three times a day.”

“I’ll set an alarm.”

She hits me across the top of my head. “Five times, then, if you have to set an alarm to remember.”

“I thought three was the limit. I didn’t want to go over.” I switch to her other nipple and snake my hand up her leg. She opens for me and I slip one finger inside of her pussy. “Anything else?”

“I get to keep buying shoes from the drugstore.”

“Fine.” Maybe I’ll buy the drugstore and stock it with nicer shoes. That seems like a good plan. I have some extra money left over that was earmarked for the grocery store.
