Untameable (Haven Falls 3) - Page 3

Do I ever!

My lips move against his as I melt into him. I freaking love this. Being with Noah has been nothing short of a wild ride and I wouldn’t change it for anything. We’ve certainly had some ups and downs over the past few months, but in short, they’ve been amazing.

Falling in love for the first time has been a bit of a rocky journey. It was my first time, how was I supposed to understand what I was feeling? But having a guy like Noah along for the ride…damn. I’m a lucky girl. I couldn’t possibly imagine that it’s like this for everyone.

Noah is a beast. He’s kind, caring, sexy as hell, and downright terrifying if he needs to be. What can I say? He’s the whole damn package. All he needs now is a motorcycle and a leather jacket.

I pull back from his lips before I get completely lost in a world of Noah. “We can’t,” I grumble, struggling to remove myself from him.

“Hell yeah, we can,” he tells me, pulling me back in.

I place my hands down on his chest and pull away once again. “No,” I all but cry, hating the distance I have to put between us, but let’s face it, if I don’t, this is where we’ll stay for the rest of the day. Besides, there’s a massive hole in Violet’s wall that needs to be fixed.

“Come on, Spitfire,” he groans, and I swear, if I look close enough, I could almost say that he’s pouting…just a little.

I shake my head. “You need to go and check that Rivers isn’t out there playing with his pocketknife, just waiting for you to walk by. Then you need to fix the wall.”

“The wall?” he grunts, his brows drawing down.

“Yeah, the massive hole you put in your mother’s wall. She wasn’t too impressed with it.”

“Shit. Did we really?” he laughs. “I didn’t even notice.”

“Are you kidding me?” I grin as I climb off his lap and pull him up behind me. “You practically threw Rivers through the whole damn thing. I was worried I was going to have to take my viewing party outside. How could you not notice that? You put your elbow through it too.”

He looks down at his elbow, twisting it around so he can see it properly, and sure enough, there’s dried blood all over it, but naturally, he couldn’t give a shit. Noah shrugs his shoulder. “Oh well. It wasn’t my back that went through it.”

I shake my head. These damn, infuriating boys!

“Come on,” I tell him. “Let’s get this over and done with so you can take advantage of me.”

His eyes light up in excitement. “Fucking deal.”

Noah’s fingers weave through mine and I walk out the door, dragging him behind me, despite him pulling back on my arm, more than reluctant to come out here.

He groans behind me but I ignore it as the conversation from the living room draws every ounce of my attention.

“Just…fuck, Rivers,” Tully groans.

I peek around the corner to find Tully sitting on the edge of the coffee table trying her hardest to put an ice pack on Rivers’ ribs as he keeps swatting her away. “Babe, stop,” he tells her.

Tully huffs as she watches the man who’s completely captured her while nothing but frustrations rolls of her. “Damn it, Rivers. Stop being such a fucking pussy. You have to ice it or it’ll get worse. I’m just trying to help. Stop pushing me away.”

He sits up a little straighter, grabbing the ice pack from her hand and tossing it in her lap. “I don’t need your fucking help.”

Oh shit.

Noah tenses behind me and we find ourselves pausing in the hallway, wondering how this is going to play out. No doubt that would have cut her on a level that only Rivers is capable of. Usually, nothing gets to Tully. She’s as fierce as they come, but where Rivers is concerned, she has a weakness.

Tully pushes to her feet. “For fuck’s sake,” she yells at him before throwing the ice pack at him with probably a little too much force. “Screw you. Bruise for all I care.”

With that, she grabs her jacket off the edge of the couch and storms out the front door, pinching her keys off the entryway table on her way. Rivers watches her leave with a deflated sigh and I press my lips together watching the scene before me. Did he really have to do that? After all the pain he’s already caused to her poor heart?

“Seriously?” Noah grunts behind me, pushing me up the hallway to get my feet moving again. “Did you really have to do that? She was just trying to help.”

“I don’t need her help,” Rivers murmurs, looking pissed off with himself. Probably hating that he just pushed her away again, knowing how much it would have hurt.
