Married by Mistake (Alphalicious Billionaires 1) - Page 38

“God…” he ground out. “That was…”

“Perfect,” she finished for him. The aftershocks inside of her sent shards of lightning racing through hm. He groaned. He pulled out, ran his hands over June’s ass, then bent forward and placed a kiss there, against the beautiful pale globes. She jerked hard. Her hips swiveled backwards and he groaned.

“If you don’t stop being so sexy, I’m going to have to do this again. Maybe with you on top. So that I can enjoy the show from the front this time.”

June craned her neck around, eyes glistening. “Thank goodness. I thought you were going to say you were done for the night.”

He smacked her bottom playfully. “Give me a minute to clean up and I’ll show you who is done for the night.”

June flipped onto her back and threw her hands over her head. She was the picture of beauty, skin flushed, her goddess body on full display, her hair splayed like a halo around her beautiful face, her cheeks pink and her lips swollen from his kiss. She winked at him and her eyes blazed heat. “One minute then. I’ll be timing you.”

CHAPTER 18

June

Wow. Just wow. There weren’t actually words that could describe what it felt like to wake up in a luxuriously soft hotel bed that wasn’t hers, the sheets twisted around her naked body, her limbs entwined with warmer, stronger, granite ones. The soft snores of the man beside her drifted through the silent room, blocking out the hum of the air conditioner or bar fridge or whatever was making the sound. His even breaths were reassuring, peaceful, sweet. June inhaled deeply and filled up her lungs with his crisp, musky, manly scent. Her face flushed and her body awoke with a jolt. That scent wasn’t exactly clean. It smelled far more like a night of sin and god, that was sexy.

She was also deliciously, deliriously sore from her neck down to her… knees.

This isn’t right. He’s not really my husband. I don’t even know him. The panicked thought spoiled what would have been a pleasant morning.

June didn’t stretch or roll over and kiss Brock awake. She didn’t take the time to stare at the hard planes of his body, the defined muscle, the smattering of hair in the sexiest of places.

Thank god, when her eyes did wonder over as she untangled her limbs and slid out of the bed, that the sheet covered up the parts of him that she apparently liked and couldn’t find sense enough to resist. That stops right now.

It wasn’t really her fault, she reasoned, as she hurried around the room, throwing on her clothes from the night before. At least they were intact that time. Mandy wouldn’t kill her for wrecking her dress. This is all their fault. Jaz and Mandy. Making me stay away from my own hotel room. Even if they didn’t start it, they weren’t helping.

With a drawn-out sigh, June gathered up her clutch. She had a room key this time, since she’d got one at the front desk to replace the one she’d lost. She could go back to her hotel anytime. Anytime, as in, immediately. She’d go, wait a few hours, and call Brock. He’d promised her another day of fun, but really, she knew she couldn’t do it. She needed to talk about getting that damn annulment or divorce or whatever. She just couldn’t be married to him. He was a stranger. She knew nothing about him. The whole distance dating thing didn’t work and she sure as hell wasn’t going to relocate so that she could get to know a casual Vegas fling better. That’s all this is. It’s just a rebound with a handsome as sin stranger and some really good sex because I damn well deserve it.

June turned, about to head out of the room and to the lobby below, where she’d try and catch a cab out front. Even though it was morning, the hotel could probably call one for her if there weren’t already some waiting. Her eyes danced around the room. They roamed over Brock’s sleeping face. He looked so peaceful and so serene in sleep. His features smoothed out. He was handsome, but in a childish, innocent way.

Her eyes flicked over to the night stand, for no apparent reason that she could gather.

They chanced over a black folder and she let out a breathless gasp. She tiptoed over and gripped the folder. It weighed almost nothing, was made out of hard paper, and was smooth and cool to the touch. She ran her fingers over the gold embossing before she opened the folder.

She was married to the man in the bed and she didn’t even know his last name. Her eyes scanned the certificate until she found it. Brock William. Maybe a quick online search back at the hotel room would tell her more about the stranger who was her legit husband. She knew that he could kiss like a demon, that he was sinfully charming, that he won her friends over easily, that he was witty, that he could plan ahead, that he didn’t get stressed when he drove and navigated with ease. He seemed to do everything with ease. He had a nice hotel room. He dressed well. She figured he had money, but he’d blown off the question. Not that it mattered. She was just… curious. She wouldn’t stay with him either way. It might be fun. He might be sexy, but she couldn’t be married.
