Delicate Promises (Southern Bride 2) - Page 92

“Get undressed, Kyns.”

She got up onto her knees on the bed and pulled her dress over her head. I nearly fell to the floor when I saw she hadn’t been wearing panties.

“No panties?” I asked, moving onto the bed.

Shaking her head, she reached behind and unclasped her bra, tossing it onto the floor.

“Just so you know, I may do that from time to time.”

I crawled onto the bed as she laid back on the pillows. “Not wear panties?”

She flashed me a naughty smile. “Miles, we haven’t gotten back to the conversation about starting a family.”

Lifting her leg, I kissed the side of her calf, causing her body to tremble.

“Okay, let’s talk.” Moving up her leg, I placed another kiss on the inside of her upper thigh.

Her eyes hooded with desire, and she licked her lips. “Talk about what?”

“Starting a family. Do you want to start trying now? Or wait a bit?”

Her legs spread open, and I groaned at the sight of her clean-shaven pussy.

“I want to start now.”

My eyes lifted to see her watching my every move. “Do you want to stop taking your birth control?”

The way she was chewing on her lower lip nearly had me coming, and I hadn’t even touched her yet.

“Y-yes. I think so. Do you think it’s too soon? I mean, I’m the one who said I wanted to move slow.”

Dropping down, I spread her lips open with my fingers and licked slowly up her opening. She bucked her hips and dropped her head back onto the pillow.

“Slow is overrated, Kyns.”

“Yes, it is. So let’s just forget slow. Give me it all now.”

I buried my face between her legs, licking and sucking on her while she slipped her fingers into my hair and moved her hips. She was so close I could taste it.

With a slight flick of my tongue on her clit, Kynslee came undone. She arched her back and cried my name out as she came.

It didn’t take me long to move up her body and slip inside her.

“Not slow?” I asked.

All she had to do was smile. Each thrust into her warm, tight body drove me closer to my own orgasm. I could feel Kynslee pulsing around my cock, her own desire building again.

Her arms wrapped around my neck and she met me thrust for thrust and said, “Oh, God. I’m going to come again, Miles.”

We tumbled off the cliff together. Our names mixing as we kissed each other like it was the last time we’d ever do it.

My heart raced in my chest and a part of me knew it was impossible, but I wanted her to be pregnant.

I rolled off of her and reached my hand to help her up. “Let’s go clean up.”

It was already clear to me that keeping my hands off my wife was going to be difficult, especially since we had decided Kynslee would stop taking her birth control.

We spent nearly five days in San Antonio, most of it locked up in our hotel suite making love, fucking like two horny teenagers, and exploring each other’s bodies until we were so exhausted we fell into bed every night around two in the morning.

Tomorrow we would be heading back to Hunt. Kynslee had decided to move into the cabin on the farm with me, and we would talk about building either on the farm or buying another piece of property and building on that. Rich already had a house on the farm, on the opposite end from the cabin, so if Kynslee and I had a house built near the cabin, we would still have plenty of privacy. The farm was three-hundred acres, after all. It was something we had decided to talk about later. For now, we wanted to simply enjoy us.

Kynslee was tucked up against my body, her breaths low and shallow as she slept peacefully in my arms. I placed my hand on her stomach and smiled. A feeling of peace and warmth rolled over my body, and for the first time in a long time everything was right with my world. I felt hopeful that the future Kynslee and I had promised each other was going to be blessed with so many wonderful things. I could feel it in the depths of my soul. I glanced out the window to see the sun barely peeking out above the horizon. The sky was painted with beautiful pinks and yellows. Kynslee stirred next to me, then nuzzled into my side even deeper.

Staring out the window, I watched as a bird flew to the railing on the balcony and sang its morning song to me. A song that served as a delicate promise to the world that we’d been given another day. A second chance. What a beautiful gift indeed.

Kynslee

One year later…

MILES RODE UP on his horse and jumped off before the mare even had a chance to come to a full stop.
