Most Likely To… Deny Love - Page 14

JACK

Jack woke abruptly, his eyes adjusting to the pre-dawn light. It was Mia’s hair tickling his nose that woke him, and he didn’t mind one bit. Her soft body was pliant against his and if his stomach hadn’t rumbled at that exact moment, he would have woken her up to make love with her again.

She was a revelation. The way she made him laugh, made him think, and the way her body responded to him was nothing he’d ever felt before. He moved slowly away from her and trod softly towards the kitchen.

The hors d’ourves he’d wanted to eat with her last night were still laid out in the kitchen, but he was in the mood for a proper breakfast. As he pulled the hash browns out of his freezer and prepared the eggs for an omelette, Jack couldn’t help but think about the beautiful woman sleeping in his bed, and the night before.

He’d been worried he was coming on too strong, but he couldn’t get enough of her now. He’d tasted her, and he caught himself whistling while he worked. It was unbelievable, how your life could change completely for the better in such a short amount of time. She had so much to offer, he couldn’t wait to find out what else was hidden within her. He finished up their breakfast, grabbing some OJ out of the fridge and putting everything on a tray. As he entered the bedroom, he didn’t miss the way Mia sat up quickly and pulled the blanket beneath her chin, covering her beautiful body.

That was okay. He was a patient man. He’d prove to her soon enough that she was absolutely gorgeous. She was already well on her way to believing him.

“Oh good, you’re awake. Are you hungry?”

“I’m starving,” she returned his grin. “This all looks amazing!”

“It does.” His eyes hadn’t left her face, and she blushed. He placed the tray on the bed and got in on the other side, sitting with one leg tucked up and the other dangling off the side of the bed. He handed her a fork, and reached down to claim a hash brown, not missing the way her eyes lingered on his bare chest.

“Mmmm,” Mia said as she took a small forkful of omelette. “Delicious.”

“If I’m going do all the things I want to do with you today, then I have to eat. You’re very distracting.”

“Sorry I’m not sorry, I guess.” She’d reached down and chosen a stuffed olive, bringing it to his mouth, tracing a finger along his bottom lip. All the blood drained from his head straight into his cock and he swallowed hard.

“You know,” she said conversationally, apparently oblivious to the effect she had on him. “I’ve never eaten in bed before.”

“Really, that’s very interesting. I haven’t either.”

“Really? No female guests getting room service?”

The casual question annoyed him. “No,” he said shortly.

“Jack, I was just teasing.”

“I know, but I’m not going to spend the night with you and talk about other women before the sun’s up.” He smiled, taking the heat out of his words. “And apart from that, I’m feeling way too good to unpack that right now. Tell me about last night. What happened after I left?”

“Well, I danced with George, the CFO, and Rebecca didn’t like that at all.”

“What has Rebecca got against you?”

Mia had to laugh. “She’s constantly complaining about how I’m costing the company money, etcetera. It’s strange because the sales department hasn’t been running at a loss for a couple of years, so I can’t even take credit for it, but here we are.”

“So basically, you have a nemesis.”

Mia giggled. “You could say that, yes.”

“But George the CFO likes you, so you’re good?”

“You could also say that, yes.”

“Good,” Jack removed the tray from the bed and the fork from her hand and gave a gentle tug on the blanket that was still covering her. “You’re staying the weekend, right?” He leaned in, trailing kisses down her throat, unable to resist her anymore and becoming even harder as her body responded to him, writhing as she gave him better access.

“I don’t have a change of clothes.”

“Who said we’d be needing clothes?”

Mia laughed as he wiggled his eyebrows, the laugh turning to a gasp when he took her nipple in his mouth. Her skin was silky soft under his hand. Shifting on the bed, he covered her body with his, kissing her languorously, skimming his hand over her, rubbing her nipple with his thumb, squeezing her breasts, listening to her breathing deepen with her arousal.

Moving down her body, Jack pressed fiery kisses over her breasts, her belly, her thighs. Pushing her legs wider, he settled between them, kissing his way up her inner thighs before running his tongue over her clitoris. Feeling Mia almost jump off the bed at the light touch. She buried her fingers in his hair, and that was all the encouragement he needed. Flicking his tongue against her, over and over until she was moaning, he pushed a finger inside her, in and out in rhythm with his tongue, until she was writhing.
