18 Months later
“Baby, look, let’s see who he’ll go to first,” Paul beams as we watch Luc crawl over the carpet.
I smile and look at my baby’s wide toothless grin as he crawls over to me. I cheer and pick him up, and he giggles in a seriously cute way.
We both laugh at Paul as he pretends to pout, and Dad shakes his head at us.
“I keep telling you two to stop competing over that child,” Dad says, walking up to me. I hand Luc to him, and his smile brightens. “Everybody knows you love Grandpa more.”
Paul and I both look at each other and laugh.
“Yes, Dad, you win tonight because you have to babysit,” I answer, and Dad nods.
Paul and I are going to the fundraising event we’re hosting at Montrose Place. This is the first big event we’ve held, and we expect about three hundred guests to attend.
“Come on, let’s leave them to it. Don’t want to be late,” Paul says with a wink, taking my hand. “See you tomorrow, Ethan.”
“See you,” Dad replies, giving us both a knowing look. I think he knows we’ll be up to no good after the event. He’s right.
As we leave, I look at him holding Luc. Sometimes I just take a moment to savor what I have. I’ve been married to Paul now for a little over fifteen months. Our little guy came to us nine months after we got married, and we couldn’t be happier.
I married my soul mate and now head out to start another fantasy.
Although I protested, Paul insisted on giving me Montrose Place, so now I’m the sole owner of the building, and it’s everything I wanted it to be. My skin care range took off with success, and I have all boxes ticked for my career.
What I cherish more is the fantasy of what I have with my guy.
He stops before we get to the car and kisses me.
“I just had to kiss you,” he says with a smile. “You look amazing. Just letting you know I’m devouring you tonight.”
“Oh, what kind of fantasy are we going to enjoy, sir?” I tease.
He gives me that look filled with wild seduction.
“The kind where you’re my perfect little sub and I’ll shower you with rewards. How does that sound?”
“I love it.”
“Good girl, then remember your safe word.”
“Red.”
He stretches out his hand, and I gladly take it.
This is what we’re always like. I can’t wait to spend the rest of forever with him.
