Perfect Illusion (Perfect 1) - Page 152

When I climb back up, Kayden’s eyes are begging me for mercy. I lift my hips, angling myself over his cock and easing down upon it. My inner muscles clutch his thick length, wasting no time adjusting to his size again. Like I said, muscle memory is great. The sigh that leaves both of our lips when I’ve completely lowered myself is a mixture of heavy bliss and relief.

Kayden’s fingers dig into my hips as I ride him. I feel drunk with power when he lets out a series of exquisite sounding moans every time I lift my hips and slam down on him again, heightening the never-ending pleasure we’re both feeling. His upper body inclines towards me so our gazes are level with each other.

A smile graces his face despite all the heavy breathing, so earnest and beautiful that my heart clenches from his expression alone, and I lean forward to kiss all the love and affection that I’m feeling into him, so he knows. He knows that I’m all in this time and I never ever want to be parted from him again.

“I love you,” I rasp against his lips.

“I love you too, baby,” he whispers back.

In an unexpected maneuver, Kayden flips us both around and eases himself into me again, fitting his lips over mine in a tender and loving way. He expresses how he feels for me through his mouth. And as he makes love to me, he tells me a story. Our story. He’s telling the story of how we met and how we grew to love each other. He tells the story of how our strengths and weaknesses complement each other and how we’re invincible because of that. And he tells the story of our broken past, our beautiful present, and our uncertain but hopeful future.

Soon after, neither of us feels like taking it slow any longer. I’m pleading for Kayden to go faster, go harder, and he obliges me, fucking me with the incredible precision and strength that he wields. My back arches against the bed with every powerful thrust he makes, unable to keep the growing feeling for much longer. And as our pace intensifies, his hips grinding into mine mercilessly, I’m no longer whispering his name in between breaths but yelling it, unable to contain the intense pleasure cresting over my entire body as he continues to hit that sweet spot inside me.

Kayden moans my name—a desperate plea—which sends me completely over the edge. He follows not long after, slamming into me one final time as he roars with release.

Later, when the euphoric feeling has subsided, Kayden collapses beside me. He tucks us both under the sheets and adjusts me so that I’m lying on his chest. I slide my leg over his body and bury my head into the crook of his neck.

Kayden strokes my hair with his hand, grinning down at me in contentment. He looks wrecked with exhaustion, fighting to stay awake. I don’t blame him; we just tried to pack the last four months into all of that, and it was overwhelming indeed.

“I missed this,” he murmurs. “I missed you.”

“I don’t want you to run anymore.” I shake my head. “I love you. I don’t want you to go anywhere. I want to do it right this time.”

“Me, too,” he says with a sturdy kind of determination.

“I’m here, Lucky. For good. I know we have a lot of stuff to work through but I think we can do it. And I think it’ll be much better this time around. We can make this work.”

I nod. “We can.”

Kayden smiles. “We can.”

And then he kisses me.

He holds our future in that kiss. Our future together. I know we will have one. We’ve come a long way, and because of that, there is a chance for us. Hardships will follow and not all battles can be won. But there is no doubt in my mind that the future is set for me and Kayden.

Because we will fight for it.

Together.

THE END
