What was he saying? Was he saying what she thought he was saying?

“I love ye, lass.”

And that was all she needed.

Her pleasure burst over her, white-hot and desperate, pulsing around him as she shot straight into the air.

She screamed his name, hitting a note she’d never thought to try for before.

Apparently, her pleasure triggered his own, because he groaned long and low, and dimly she was aware of a flood of warmth against her womb… But each pulse milked him further and harder until she was panting with exhaustion.

St. Kelsi help her, she’d never experienced anything as wonderful as that.

Sated now, Robena collapsed forward, her cheek landing against his shoulder. She listened to his heart beating under her ear, listened to the glorious sound of his breathing slowing to match hers.

They were still joined.

She smiled, and one of her palms came to rest against the side of his neck.

“I love ye,” she murmured. “Always, Kester.”

His arms tightened around her. “And I love ye.” His voice was a quiet murmur, one she felt as much as heard. “No’ just here and now, lass, but forever.”

She closed her eyes on his vow, a smile on her lips.
