"Are you sure? Actually, I could probably have you come on pack land. In case there's any danger, I don't want you alone. I will definitely have everyone alerted that he hasn’t shown up.”
It would take something extreme to be able to harm Jesse. But nothing was impossible.
"You really don't have to do this," Derek said. He couldn’t believe she was willing to help so soon after just meeting him.
"I may not be part of your pack, but I’m still a wolf shifter,” she said emphatically. “I want to help. And he's your friend."
“In that case, I would love your help.”
His wolf was touched as well that she would do something so thoughtful for them.
