The Emperor (The Tarot Club 2) - Page 12

“Who knew my little Vedman was the jealous type.”

“I wouldn’t -”

My protests died down the minute his lips touched my neck, his tongue danced along the skin just above my collarbone. A moan fell from my lips.

“You don’t know how much I want to rip this dress from your body.” His words heated my blood, turning my boiling rage into something wholly different, but equally feral.

I pressed my ass against the steel of him, and this time his breath hitched.

“You sat me next to someone you’ve already fucked and someone who wants to fuck you.” My words were a breathy groan of an accusation.

“Which one bothers you more?” He whispered his question against my skin between kisses and nips, and I allowed my head to fall back against his chest, surrendering to him.

“Neither of them bothered me.” The lie was an easy one to tell. “But your actions did.” I offered him that sliver of truth.

“I am a king amongst men.” He nipped my neck harder this time, and I knew it would bruise - would leave a mark that was all Dimitri. “My actions will always bother others.”

“Am I others?”

It was a dangerous question. I knew it, and yet I still asked.

“You are my queen - my Empress.”

A nonsensical answer, akin to him saying that I was his Witch - his Vedman.

My stomach dipped as he hoisted me up, marching us towards the kitchen - the kitchen island specifically.

“What are you doing?” I gasped.

“Eating out my Empress.”

Dimitri laid me across the smoothly polished surface, his broad hands dipped into the neckline of my shirt and I shivered under his touch as his thumb grazed across my puckered nipple through the lace of my bra. The ripping sound was followed by the chilled coolness of the air.

“Slide your arms out.” Dimitri’s instruction jolted me into action.

“Did you rip my dress?”

“I told you I would.” His grin was almost roguish and there went that fist again, clenching my heart tight. Because how rarely did Dimitri smile - laugh - live?

It could have been a hallmark card - or one of those tacky signs that my mother despised, but it didn’t make it any less true.

Dimitri did not even wait for the dress to be fully untangled from my body before his lips pressed against the lace of my panties. His tongue probed my wetness through the lace, and even with the material barrier, I writhed beneath his lips.

His fingers rolled the lace down my thighs. Dimitri timed it all to perfection, for when I bucked against his lips, seeking more, he removed the lace entirely, holding my hips to his face in a way that was both delicious and possessive.

His tongue slid in and out of me, whilst his thumb pressed against my clit, moving in small, circular movements - so precise that every moan and breath that fell from my lips was a crescent from the previous one. Dimitri built the pleasure inside of me, igniting it with every stroke - every touch - every lick. He brought up his second hand, pushing two fingers inside of me and I clenched around him, gasping and moaning, bucking against his hand.

He worked his fingers in me, and when I was about to fall off the edge, he spoke.

“There is never a reason for you to feel jealous, Bambi - because you alone have given yourself fully to me - no one else, and I do not overlook such gifts - such blessings.”

He curled his fingers inside of me, and that movement shattered me, sending me spiraling over the edge. I shuddered beneath him, panting and moaning his name, but still he did not relent.

Although his words were meant to soothe, they did exactly the opposite. He did not speak of wanting me - he spoke of me offering him a blessing. And he didn’t tell me that Nina and Elise did not matter because they were not me, instead, he said that they had not offered themselves fully - like I had.

The warmth of his fingers coupled with the coolness of his words only made me ache more fiercely, and even after I came down from the exquisite pleasure he wrought upon my body, I slid down off the marble counter and spun around. I planted my hands on the counter and lifted my hips towards him - offering myself to Dimitri in the only way I knew how.

He grinned at me as his fingers unclipped his belt, his pants pooling to his knees, and then he was there, sliding into me easily. My fingers sought purchase against the counter as my breasts pressed against the cool marble surface that did nothing to cool the heat of Dimitri.

“Dimi…” I moaned his name again and again as he slammed into me, and for a moment in time, none of the other stuff mattered because he filled me in a way that I doubted anyone else could.
