Our Desperate Bride (Treasure Falls Brides 2) - Page 31

CHAPTER17

Aweek later, Daisy was back to wearing dresses, but without any bloomers beneath her skirts. And almost every evening when her men walked in the door, one of them would raise her skirts, bend her over the table or a chair and soon have her moaning.

Quickly she had learned to have supper ready for them because afterward she would be like a limp rag until they carried her upstairs to bed for the evening. There, once again, they would have her spread beneath them.

They seemed to take turns trying to see who could get the most reactions from her. Every evening, she was ready and waiting by the door for them, their supper on the table.

Thank goodness, her mother had insisted that her daughters learn to cook, even though they had servants in their home who prepared the meals.

This afternoon, she gazed about her new home and felt blessed. Thank goodness, Mrs. Newton, the matchmaker, had taken her in and sent her to Treasure Falls. Yes, some of the women had been unhappy that she didn’t tell them what they were getting into, but Daisy was glad.

This way, she didn’t have three months of traveling to think about how two men would be sharing her. This way it was a total surprise and she had no choice in the matter.

Her new life here was the best thing that had ever happened to her, and she knew she was falling in love with her husbands. Ellis’s dark sexual glances let her know he wanted her. Lee’s bright bubbly personality that quickly turned into him needing to fuck her. Both men made her happy. Both men knew how to have her screaming their names.

With a sigh, she realized how much her life had changed for the better.

Since the wedding, she’d been thinking of writing her sisters to let them know where she was and to warn them to stay away from Thomas Jones. He was a dangerous man, and the thought of one of them suffering what she had experienced frightened her.

For the first time since the incident, she felt safe and didn’t fear that Mr. Jones could retaliate against her in any way. Her men would never allow him to harm her. He would do well to stay out of the state of Montana.

But her sisters were vulnerable.

So this morning after her men left, she sat and wrote her sisters a letter. Not her mother or her father, but her dear sisters who she missed so very much.

With a quill and an ink well, she found some paper and began.

Dearest sisters,

I hope my letter finds you doing well and that the scandal did not harm you in any way. Again, I would tell you that I’m innocent, but Papa made his decision very quickly, and I’ve accepted that I will never see any of you ever again.

After sleeping on the streets for almost a week, a woman took me in and sent me to Treasure Falls, Montana, as a mail-order bride. Yes, I’m married and I must tell you, I’m very happy. My husband is wonderful and he’s taking great care of me. My life has become happy and the little town of Treasure Falls is beautiful. There are mountains and pine trees and my husband runs the local bank.

But I’m worried about you, dear sisters. Please do not have anything to do with Thomas. Do not let yourselves be alone with him. Avoid him at all costs. For if you do, you will suffer the same consequences I did. And I have every reason to think he has gotten away with this more than once. Don’t be his next victim.

I would love to hear from you but understand if you think it would be scandalous of you to speak to me again. Just know that in the end, Mr. Jones did not win nor did Papa. I won by getting myself out of a horrible situation.

I’m here in Montana, happily married and hoping that soon we will start our family. Take care and know that I truly miss you, but I will never return to Charleston. Too many bad memories are there and I’m happy here with Ellis.

Love,

Daisy

While she knew she could have told them that she married two men, she didn’t want to upset them. They would not understand the pleasure of two men taking care of her. Even the need for two husbands.

Now she couldn’t imagine it any other way.

With a sigh, she wrote the address on an envelope and sealed the letter inside. Maybe tomorrow, Lee or Ellis could mail it for her.

No matter what happened in Charleston, she felt better that she had warned her sisters of the danger of Thomas Jones. She felt like she had done her duty.

With a sigh, she watched her men walk up the porch of the house. They were home early and she could just bet that they came home to fuck her.
