Keeping Grace - Page 12

I wanted to punch Scott, but he was too far away.

“Do I need to knock some sense into you?” Travis’ brow arched. “She’s Blake’s little sister. You don’t need to know more than that.”

“Oh, come on,” I grumbled. “That’s not fair.”

“I’m not getting into trouble with Blake, because you two can’t keep it in your pants. And I don’t want to be in the doghouse for not telling you guys no. I guess it’s my time to step up in a semi-brother-in-law role here.”

“And what would I have to do to change your mind?” I asked as I opened the stall door to let Foxy out.

“You finally met her?” Scott interrupted.

“She came over for breakfast this morning,” he shrugged.

“Morning guys.” I heard Grace call as she entered the barn. She looked sexy, walking down the aisle in her tight riding pants, hair fluttering over her shoulders.

“Morning, Grace,” I said as she approached us.

“Morning, Ty.” She winked at me.

Grace ran her hand along Jameson as she passed him. “Morning, Scott.” She smiled at him before going over to Travis

The smile that lit up Scott’s face surprised me. Who was he fooling? He liked Grace and was just being an ass and not admitting it to himself.

“What are you doing here?” Travis asked. “Storm’s in the other barn.”

“I know. I just like to walk through here from the bunkhouse and say good morning to the horses. It’s a nicer way to go than just going around. Looks like you guys are heading out. Have fun.” She waved her fingers as she turned and continued on her way.

I peered around Bear to see Grace’s tight ass sway.

“Grace,” I called. She paused and turned back. “Dinner again tonight, I’ll come grab you when we get back.”

The seductive smile that spread across her face had my jeans growing tight. “Okay, but I’ll meet you in the dining hall. I’m helping Jessie tonight.” With that, she turned and disappeared out the end door.

Travis sighed. “Okay, I won’t say anything to Blake, but you guys need to be smart about this.”

“What changed your mind?” I tilted my head, not sure I heard him right.

“The goofy smile on Scott’s face. Haven’t seen that in a long time. I wouldn’t want to be the one to stop that.”

I couldn’t help but laugh. I was glad I wasn’t the only one who caught it.

“Fuck you both.” Scott huffed and led his gelding out of the barn.

He wouldn’t admit it, but he needed this. Scott had so much loss and heartache that I would bet Grace was just the person to help him work it out and get him back to the guy he once was.

Now we only needed to find out if she was thinking the same way about us.
