Controlled Chaos (Love and Lyrics 1) - Page 71

Camden fucks me how I asked—hard and deep and so damn good. With every thrust, it feels like he’s replacing my past with our present and making a promise for the future.

As we both find our release, his fingers dig deliciously into my hips, and once he’s filled me with his warm seed, he leans over and trails kisses down the center of my spine.

I love the way he makes me feel wanted and cherished in everything he does. It doesn’t matter if he makes love to me or fucks me hard because he does it with his heart every single time. He pulls out, and I flip onto my back, pulling him to me for a kiss.

“Was that what you wanted?” he asks, searching my face to make sure I’m okay.

“It’s exactly what I wanted,” I breathe, my body feeling like Jell-O from the two orgasms he’s given me. “Thank you.”

“You don’t have to thank me, Layles.” He kisses me lightly on my forehead. “You should know by now I’ll give you anything you ask for.”

“Mommy! Santa came!” Felix shouts, running into my room. I spring up, ready to explain why Camden is in bed with me. Only the spot where he was lying is empty. I glance around and wonder if I was dreaming, but when I move and feel the soreness between my legs, I know I wasn’t.

“He did?” I ask Felix, focusing on him.

“Yep! And I was soooo good because he brought me a million presents.”

I laugh at his exaggeration. “Wow, a million? You must’ve been the best kid in the world.”

Felix nods, then runs out of the room. “C’mon, Mommy!”

“Give me a second,” I call back, needing to go pee, brush my teeth, and make some coffee. I check the time on my phone and see it’s only five thirty in the morning. It’s going to be a long day.

Me: Where did you go?

When Camden doesn’t respond right away, I assume he’s back home and asleep. Once I’m done in the bathroom, I grab my robe to cover myself and pad downstairs to the living room.

I get to the bottom of the stairs and am halted in place by what I see. Presents… So many damn presents surrounding the tree and all over the floor. I blink several times in confusion. There’s the sled I got him in one corner, but in the other is a… shit, there’s a bike in the other.

“Mommy, this one has your name on it!” Felix shakes the box and runs it over to me. I read the tag, and sure enough, it’s addressed to me, from Santa.

What the hell…

I pull my phone out and text Camden again: What did you do? He’s the only one who could’ve done this. He’s the only one with a key to my house and the alarm code. Well, my mom has one too, but this has Camden written all over it.

There’s a knock on the door, so I put away my phone, checking the peephole to make sure it’s not David. When I see it’s Camden, I swing the door open, glaring. “What did you do?” I hiss.

“What?” he asks with a poker face.

“The presents… the millions of damn presents under the tree.”

He steps inside and glances over at the presents, his brows furrowing. “Hey, Felix. Looks like you’ve been really good this year.”

Felix nods, rummaging through all the wrapped presents. “I must’ve been so, so, so good.”

Camden chuckles.

“When did you do this?” I ask, nodding toward the tree.

“Do what?”

“Bring all these presents over!” I whisper-yell so Felix doesn’t hear.

Camden barks out a laugh. “The only thing I brought over are these donuts.” He raises the box and then leans in and kisses my cheek. “Merry Christmas, baby.”

With a smile on his face, he steps into the living room and sets the donuts on the table. “All right, Felix, which one of these presents are you tearing into first?”

Felix lifts a box—one I didn’t wrap—and shakes it. “This one!”

“Oh, yeah,” Camden says, winking at me. “I bet that’s a good one.”

CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX

CAMDEN

“You ready?” Dad asks, patting my shoulder while I straighten my bow tie in the dressing room mirror at the church where Layla and I are about to get married.

“More than ready.”

“He better be,” Declan says with a laugh. “He’s been dreaming of this day for the past eight years.”

I don’t bother to argue because he’s not lying. The past two months since Layla agreed to marry me have been spent getting the house ready so we can move in after our honeymoon and counting down the days until I can make Layla my wife and give her my last name.

When I get to the front, our friends and family sit and wait. My mom is in the front row, next to Layla’s mom. Both women are dabbing their eyes. I’m the first to get married out of my sisters and me, so Mom has enjoyed helping get everything ready.
