Good Girls Never Rise: A Dark Boarding School Romance - Page 110

I recognized the annoyance poking at my brain as I released a growl. I didn’t want to talk

about Bain. In fact, I didn’t want to talk about anything dealing with the reality of either of our lives, because I knew it would make me want to step away.

“I have an idea,” I said, dropping her arms and slowly striding over to the supply closet before giving her a coy smirk over my shoulder.

She crossed her arms slowly after tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. “An idea?”

I nodded before disappearing behind the door and then coming back out again with a box of charcoal and a thick piece of paper tucked under my arm. Her eyes narrowed as her thick eyelashes brushed against her cheek. “What are you doing?”

“Tutoring?”

This time, Gemma was the one to hop up onto Mrs. Fitz’s desk, letting her legs dangle below her. She was perfect. “And that requires art supplies? Am I suddenly tutoring you in art now?”

I paused, holding the paper out before walking over to an easel and dragging it across the floor to set it up in front of me. “If that’ll make you feel better, then yeah. This can be an art lesson.”

Gemma fought a smile, sucking her lips into her mouth for a second. “Okay.”

Warmth washed over me, just like it always did when I was with her, and up until she had walked into St. Mary’s, I hadn’t even realized I was so cold on the inside. So…disconnected from life. She was doing something to me. “Okay,” I repeated, surprised she went along with it. I walked over to her, standing just a few inches away before quickly grabbing her by the hips. A soft breath flew from her as her eyes widened. “First,” I started, pulling her ass toward me so her middle would connect with mine for a brief, antagonizing second. “Don’t look at me like that.”

“Lik-like what?” She peered up at me all innocent-like, but I saw the fire brewing as I flicked the desk light on. The same damn fire I’d been fanning over the last two days.

“Like you want me to dip my head between your thighs again.” Because I would. I fucking would.

She blinked a few times, the skin of her legs burning a hole through the sides of my jeans. “And second,” I whispered, pushing her hair behind her shoulder. “I need to pose you so I can draw you.”

A huge smile broke out on her face, and it was like a swift punch to my core. “You’re going to pose me? Can you even draw, Isaiah?”

I cocked a brow as I ran my hands down her thighs slowly, enjoying the way her smooth legs felt against my palms. “What a discouraging thing to hear coming from my very educated tutor.”

A loud laugh left her, and it tilted the room on its side.

“You don’t do that enough.”

“Do what?” she asked.

“Laugh.” I licked my lip, gripping her behind her waist now and slowly lowering her to her back on top of the desk. “And I’ve gotta say, it might be the best sound I’ve ever fucking heard.” Next to her little moans of pleasure, of course.

Gemma glanced away as her cheeks raised. “Who knew Isaiah Underwood was such a sweet talker?”

I hummed, gently gripping her chin and tilting it toward my easel. “If only you could hear the thoughts in my head.”

The roll of her eyes made me grin as I made my way back over to the paper and charcoal. Gemma lay flat on the teacher’s desk with the soft glow of the lamp caressing her body as she sighed. “Really? You want me to lie like this? Flat on my back…staring at you?”

If only she knew how mind-fuckingly hot she looked just like that. I roamed my eyes over her amused face. The small smile playing at her lips was so damn innocent it almost made me feel guilty for the sexual thoughts in my head. She sat up a little, placing her elbow on the desk with her head in her palm. “This is silly.”

“I don’t think it is when you’re smiling at me like that.” I winked, and she sighed softly.

“Okay, fine. But as someone who draws often, how about I lie like this? I am your tutor, after all.” Gemma adjusted herself on the desk after taking off her school blazer to leave only her white blouse. She was half lying on her side and half lying on her back. Then, she slowly rested the back of her head down and tilted her delicate chin toward me, her brown locks swaying out from behind her shoulders, circling her heart-shaped face so perfectly all I could do was stare. Her eyes. The bright green of them somehow vibrant in a hazy room. The perfect tip of her nose and sculpted lips that didn’t need even a fraction of color on them to stand out. My eyes slid past her chin and over the hollow part of her neck, the dip nearly begging me to graze my teeth over it.

My dick was growing harder as I continued to gaze over her curves and the two perfect-sized mounds that I lingered on for far too long before Gemma shifted nervously. I darted my eyes away, knowing very well she had caught me staring.

“Okay, let’s get started, shall we?” Gemma giggled at me, and I peeked up over the canvas. “No laughing, or it’ll mess me up.”

She laughed again. “I can’t wait to see what this looks like when you’re done. I hope my tutoring skills are up to par.”

“Shh,” I hushed through a smile. “I’m…creating.”

Her lips rolled together, holding back a laugh, as she softened her posture some.
