Trek - Page 10

Trek

She’s going to be trouble. I can feel it. I can feel the thunder inside of me just thinking about her. Heidi lay there, spread out for me to see as she touched herself. She fucking touched her wet pussy and came right there for me to see. I was tempted to taste her and see if she was as sweet as the girl I remember. Then it hit me. She wasn’t the same girl and hadn’t been for a long time. Heidi’s been used and broken. There was no way I could get involved with her any more than I already have. She can use me to keep her needs met. I don’t want her to feel like she has to go through any of the guys in the club to feel better. I wanted her to come to me. And now she will.

I walk into church and drop my ass into my chair, eyeing the guys as they follow behind, looking like hell. Last night was a late night for most of them. They stayed up, talking about the situation at hand. They all had their take on it, and their anger was palpable.

“We know this shit is gettin’ worse, and now that Trek’s friend is here, we know it’s more local than we thought.” Demon announces as everyone quiets down.

“It’s too close,” Drake adds his two cents to the conversation.

“It is, and I don’t like it. We need to hit that house. Is she willin’ to show us which one it is?” he asks, looking directly at me. I shrug my shoulders. I don’t know what she’s willing to do, to be honest. I just know that she’s scared, but she’s hiding it well.

“I can talk to her,” I tell him. He nods.

“I don’t want to force anything with her. She’s too fragile,” Drake adds.

“I don’t think she’s as fragile as you think she is,” I tell him. He raises an eyebrow and smirks at me.

“Maybe you’re right. I just don’t want to cause any other issues with the girl. She’s been through a lot.”

“Ask her, Trek. We need an exact location.”

“I don’t know if she knows an exact location. From what she said, she ran from the backdoor.”

“Anything she can give us will be helpful,” he says as I nod my head. I will do the best I can with her.

“We want that house raided and shut down. We want those girls safe,” Demon says as we all agree.

“We start stakin’ out the area better. This shit is right in our backyard. We can’t have that,” Drake tells the room. He’s right. It’s too close for my liking.

“Heard that.” Rage nods his head before Demon blows out a breath.

“We got the party for Badger this weekend. Let’s keep our heads on straight for the week and let loose. Next week we hit hard. This week is all about stakin’ out the area,” Demon tells us. Everyone is in agreeance. We need to figure out where the hell this house is and how we didn’t realize it was so damn close to us. She couldn’t have run that far when she escaped.

“If that’s everything, we’re done here.” Demon slams down the gavel, and we all shove out of our seats. I head for the door, grabbing my phone from the basket as I go before heading toward the bar. I need a drink. I need something. I spot Heidi over with the other girls, but it pisses me off that it’s with the club whores and not the old ladies. I don’t know why I care. It is what it is.

“She’s gettin’ to you,” Rage says as I grab a beer from the bar.

“What do you mean?”

“I can see you get tense when she’s around,” he says.

“No, I don’t.”

“Yeah, you do. Like right now.” He chuckles, and I want to punch him in the face.

“It ain’t like that,” I tell him.

“What’s it like then? You like the girl?”

“Of course, I like the girl. I used to be good friends with her.”

“And now you’re her official fuck buddy,” he laughs one more time.

“Fuck off, Rage.”

“I get it, brother. You don’t want her whorin’ around the club. It makes sense, brother.”

“Does it? Because I feel like I’m fuckin’ up big time here.”

“I hear you, but you’re doin’ the right thing. Doc said she’s clean. You have nothin’ on there to worry about.”

“Yeah, just her fuckin’ with my head. How do I look at her and not see the little girl who used to follow me around?”

“That’s on you, brother. I can’t help there.”

“You think this is fucked up?”

“No. I think you’re tryin’ to help your friend. If that’s all it is,” he adds before grabbing his beer and walking away. That is all it is. That’s all there is to it. I don’t want anything more with her. I can’t.

I shove away from the bar and walk over, stepping up next to her. The girls bat their lashes, but I don’t see anyone but her. Heidi turns her head to see what the fuss is about and smiles at me.

“Can we talk?” I ask her. She nods her head and spins around to follow me to one of the tables. I drop into the chair and watch as she does the same.

“What’s going on?” she asks.

“I need to take you for a ride and see if you recognize anything.”

“No.”

“No?”

“What if they see me? What if they know it’s me, Trek? I can’t risk that.”

“You think I’d let them touch you again?” I ask her seriously. She has to see the look in my eyes. I wouldn’t let anyone near her. I’d kill any asshole who tried to get too close to her.

“No. You wouldn’t.”

“Good girl. You’ll have a helmet on. No one will see your face. I just need to know what looks familiar and what doesn’t. We need to narrow this shit down a little.” She nods her head, her long hair tumbling over her shoulder. I want to reach over and brush it back for her, to touch her and let her know everything will be okay, but that isn’t my part in this story. I’m here to help her, and that’s it.

“I guess I can do that,” she says softly. I reach over against my better judgment and place my hand on top of hers.

“I won’t let them near you, Heidi. I promise.” She nods her head, slipping her hand out from underneath mine so she can intertwine our fingers. It feels too intimate, but maybe she just needs to feel a connection to another human being.

“Thank you, Trek. For all of this.”

“I got you. You’re my friend, Heidi.” Heidi slips her hand out of mine and back into her lap.

“Should we call my mom today?” she asks me.

“That’s up to you. I won’t force you to do anything, but I think she needs to know you’re safe.”

“I am safe, right?”

“You are as long as you’re here.” She nods her head once more before looking down at her hands in her lap.

“Would you stay with me while I call her?”

“Of course.”

“Okay. Then let’s call her,” she says. I stand from my chair, happy she’s willing to do that much. I know it’s hard for her to do, but at least she’s trying here. She’s trying to do the right thing.

Heidi follows me down the hall and into the bedroom, where I pull out my cell and pass it to her. She takes it and dials the number, bringing it to her ear. I watch her chew on the inside of her cheek before a small smile tugs across her face.

“Mom?”
