G is for Gerry (Men of ALPHAbet Mountain) - Page 57

I knew I probably should have felt slightly disappointed that she was getting dressed, but I didn’t. I was perfectly fine just being with her, and the fact that I got a chance to see her incredible body at all was a plus. I would gladly take that and make sure she was comfortable.

Malia crawled into the bed and then beckoned for me, but I held up one finger.

“Do you want me to spend the night?” I asked.

“Yes, I would.”

“I have a bag in my car. I’ll be right back.”

Dee had dozed off on the couch, so I made my way out quietly, grabbing my bag out of the truck and shutting the front door softly. Dee shifted in her sleep on the couch but didn’t wake up, and I locked the door before heading back to Malia.

Malia was sitting up in the bed, the television mounted to the wall on and playing the same crime show we had been watching earlier. I sat the bag on her dresser and pulled out a pair of sweatpants and a T-shirt, then changed by candlelight. The feeling of her eyes on me as I got undressed was not lost on me, but I knew she probably felt uncomfortable acting on any of it with her sister still asleep in the next room.

When I slipped into bed with her, we curled together and began to talk. I was honest about my moments of near panic and the way my brain tricked me into those moments. It was freeing being that open with her, and I waited for her reaction, but she was trying to take it all in without giving one.

“Thank you for telling me all that,” she said. “I know that was hard. I just want you to know that it doesn’t scare me off.”

“Good.” I sighed. “I was worried about that.”

“Don’t be. Now, with that being said…” She paused, seeming to contemplate what she was going to say next. “Does that make this a thing now?”

“Like, a relationship?” I asked.

“Yes.”

“I would like that. I know it’s a lot.”

“Um,” she said, “you do know I am a recent amputee. Who is still fighting to get her prosthetic, right?”

I laughed.

“Well, yes,” I said.

“So, we will have to fight for each other,” she said. “Nothing about this is going to be normal. I have my challenges with my leg. You have your challenges with your past. But if we work together, we can make this something really good.”

“I think so. I think what we have here is worth it.”

“Me too,” she said, a slow smile spreading across her face.

“Come here. Let’s get comfortable.”

Grinning, she curled into my arm, and we settled into the bed. Having her in my arms again as the candles slowly fizzled out and the TV show droned on was all I needed to drift to a dreamless, peaceful sleep.

MALIA

It was just after eight, and I heard the shuffling in the kitchen. Beside me, happily asleep with a grin on his face, Gerry shifted and pulled the blanket tight around himself. I waited in the warm cocoon I was in, happy to be this close to him, happy to be warm and safe and able to smell his skin. But I had bigger plans. Plans involving much more skin.

Saturdays were always a busy day for Dee. She woke up around seven thirty and did her thing getting a breakfast together before heading out of the house around eight fifteen to get grocery shopping and all her other weekly errands done. I was usually up around the same time and would sometimes join her, but this time I stayed where I was. I was sure she remembered Gerry being here last night, but I didn’t necessarily want to call attention to the fact that he had stayed the night.

I could hear her rinsing her dish and putting it into the dishwasher, which meant she was pretty close to leaving.

I was starting to wonder if she was dragging her feet on leaving to see if I would come out when I heard the jingle of her keys and the front door open. When it closed, I waited to hear the engine start and the car pull off before turning in the bed. I was finally alone with Gerry, and I didn’t want to waste any more time.

Pulling off my shirt, I tossed it to the side of the bed, then rolled the light pajama pants off as well. Now fully naked, I pulled the blankets over me, and the sensation of the silky sheet on my bare skin and the knowledge of what I was about to do made goose bumps break out all over my body.

I pulled myself closer to him, and he mumbled something in his sleep. Letting one hand trail down his chest, I pressed a soft kiss to his lips. He kissed me back, but sleepily, and I let my hand move further down. Brushing it over his center, I let it hover there, my palm rubbing gently on him and feeling his cock grow with each movement.
