A Contract for His Runaway Bride - Page 42

He drew in a ragged breath and placed his hands on the fastener at the back of her bra, deftly unclipping it. He lowered his mouth to her right breast, caressing the tightly budded nipple with his lips and tongue. Need throbbed in every cell of her body, the sensations he was evoking making her breath catch in her throat. He opened his mouth over her nipple and drew on the sensitised flesh, the sucking motion triggering a firestorm in her lower body. Then he moved to her other breast, teasing it into the same sensual raptures, the rasp of his tongue, the gentle graze of his teeth making her pant with longing.

Elodie worked blindly on the waistband of his trousers, desperate to get her hands on him, but he was too intent on pleasuring her. He pushed her back on the desk, pulling her knickers off her with one hand and tossing them to the floor. His mouth came down to her abdomen, his tongue tracing a light teasing circle around her belly button. Shivers coursed up and down her spine and a wave of tingling heat and tension found its way to her core.

His mouth moved down to the heart of her, his lips and tongue separating her folds, all too soon sending her into a freefall of mind-blowing, earth-shattering, dizzying release. She arched her spine, riding out the pulsating waves, unable to control her whimpering cries and panting breaths.

‘Wow, oh, wow...’ There were no words to describe the bliss still reverberating through her in delicious little aftershocks. But she finally sat upright and reached for him. ‘My turn to render you speechless, I think. But we have to get you out of those trousers first.’

‘That’s easily fixed.’

Lincoln’s gaze ran over her flushed features, his eyes smouldering, and he dropped his trousers and his underwear. He moved away briefly, to get a condom from the wallet in his trouser pocket, applying it and coming back to her.

She never got tired of looking at him naked. His lean, athletic build was wonderfully proportioned—toned muscles, broad shoulders, slim hips, long, strong legs.

Elodie slipped off the desk and pushed him down so his back was against it. She slithered down in front of him, caressing him with her hands first, enjoying the guttural sounds of his pleasure. Then she placed her mouth on him, using her lips and tongue to bring him to the point of no return. He shuddered and groaned and swore under her ministrations, his body finally going slack as the last wave of release flowed through him.

‘You really know how to bring me to my knees...’ His voice was rough around the edges, his breathing hectic. ‘I’m not sure I can stand upright just yet.’

Elodie came up to stroke her hands over his muscular chest. ‘My legs are still shaking too.’

He cupped one side of her face in his hand, his eyes holding hers with glittering intensity. ‘We’d better not make Morag wait too long to serve dinner, but first I want to do this.’

He brought his mouth down to hers in a long, slow kiss that drugged her senses all over again. It was passionate, and yet surprisingly tender, a kiss that stirred her emotions and fuelled her hopes.

Was it crazy to hope he was becoming as invested in their relationship as she was? Was she a fool for hoping he was moving past the bitterness he had carried against for her the last seven years?
