Unwanted Mate (The Alpha Shifter Collection) - Page 36

It was rare for them to agree on much. In fact, he and Sofia had agreed to go to his private island immediately after she had given birth. Several of the pack had offered to come with them as well, and he had accepted because he knew having two babies would be a handful.

He’d taken Sofia to his island after their wedding. They spent three weeks making love, and he couldn’t wait to return. There was nothing he wanted more.

Sofia snuggled up against him, loving him, and he got the chance to feel that love every single day. Not a moment went by that he didn’t feel it. He’d never thought anything was missing from his life, not until he found Sofia.

Locking their fingers together, he stared at the small diamond of her wedding band and smiled.

Sofia was all his, and he wasn’t ever letting her go, not for anyone.

“You two look perfect together,” Sean said.

His woman tilted her head back and smiled up at him. “How are you feeling?” she asked.

“Like I have the best life a man or wolf could ask for.”

Sean grumbled from the front of the car.

Sofia’s cell phone went off, and Caspian read the text over her shoulder, laughing when he saw it was her brother asking what the news was.

“These babies are going to be so spoiled,” Sofia said.

“Would you have it any other way?” he asked.

“No, not for a single second. Thank you,” she said.

“What for?”

“For coming to my rescue and being the man I’ve been waiting for all my life.”

He kissed her lips, feeling the heat rising between them. “You will never have to worry about a damn thing.”

Epilogue

Five years later

Screams filled the air, and Caspian laughed as he watched his children run around the front yard. He’d been blessed with two sets of twins, another son, and of course, his little girl, who he held in his arms.

Getting Sofia pregnant was never a problem. In fact, it was a dream. Being around that woman was everything to him. He truly hadn’t realized how much he was missing in life until very recently.

Speaking of his woman, she stood there talking to several pack females, laughing and joking with them.

His pack. He still couldn’t believe it.

Again, another way his woman had changed him. She’d made it possible for him to accept being an alpha. Nothing changed in the way he ran the pack, just how he reacted to people calling him an alpha.

Sofia said her goodbyes and headed over to him.

Their children ran after Sean. The scent of mulled wine and mixed spices filled the air, and this was all because of Sofia.

Christmas was just a few days away, and once Sofia had set her mind on something, there was no stopping her. His private island had been overrun with people of the pack. Sofia wanted a completely pack-filled Christmas.

“Hello, handsome,” she said, running her hand up his chest and pressing her body against him. She smiled at their daughter.

“Don’t you hello handsome me. You think I don’t know what you’re doing?” he asked.

Sofia chuckled. That soft sound he found irresistible, and she knew it as well. He just couldn’t bring himself to say no when she got that smile out that was also attached to it.

“What am I doing?”

“You’re making me realize how much of a pack I’ve made. Seeing the people here, all of them unwanted but brought together because of me. I see it.” He nodded his head at everyone.

So many men and women cast out, ignored, or unwanted where there had been no mercy shown.

Sofia cupped his cheek. “I’m not actually showing you anything, babe. This is all you. This is your pack. This is our family. They love you. They love our children, and I’m just so glad you’ve been able to see what everyone else does.” She went on to her tiptoes and pressed a kiss to his cheek. “I love you.”

He pulled her in close, kissing her hard. This was his world, his life, and he wouldn’t give it up for anyone else in the world.
