The Woodland Packs - Page 172

Sighed the stress away, the disbelief and hurt.

I’d made it. I’d found him.

The Alpha. My baby’s daddy.

“Ah, Tayte. How about you take your mate home? Get her some new clothes at the shop sometime today, and sort out your pack?”

That was Grayson, Nevaeh’s Alpha speaking.

When I pulled back from Tayte’s warm embrace, I could see the storm clouds rolling in.

Not literally. The metaphorical ones. Around the other two in T

ayte’s pack.

Uh oh.

Nevaeh had said something about this being a triad of sorts.

“Um…”

“Good idea, Gray. Thanks. And Nevaeh, thank you. We owe you. Like, big time.”

Nevaeh laughed. “Yeah, yeah, just look after her.”

Tayte hustled me out of the house and onto the road. I shivered with the cold of the early morning air.

“So, where to now?” I asked, looking at the three men around me.

“Ah… I think we need to go home and talk about everything,” Tayte said, his gaze going to the other two men.

“Okay. Where’s that?”

I looked around at the clean streets and well-built homes.

The town was incredibly impressive to me.

“This place is amazing.”

Though the grass was a little sparse and the town a little bare of amenities, I assumed that was due to the lack of females born to the pack in this generation.

It still kicked the ass off anything the bears had.

“This way.” Tayte put a hand in the small of my back and we began walking along the street. There were more houses all the way around the town and a group of shops in the centre.

The shops included several clothing stores, a supermarket and a barber.

“I heard whispers about you guys from the bears.”

“What about?” Tayte asked as the other two walked closely behind us.

Listening, probably, but not wanting to talk yet.

“Well, they said that you couldn’t have children anymore because there were no females born. Not for generations.”

Tayte nodded. “Yes, our mothers were some of the last females born to the pack. Wolf shifters, too. We thought that meant that we’d never have a Fated Mate, but it seems like the future of the pack lies with the humans.”

“Like me?” I asked, staring up at his handsome face.
