The Woodland Packs - Page 153

There was moaning from upstairs and we bolted up to the second floor.

Nevaeh was still in the shower, but she was kneeling down on the tiles, some sort of thin padding beneath her.

“You’re doing so well, Nevaeh. Just push, gently. Slowly.”

Over the next twenty minutes, I watched a miracle occur.

My perfect, healthy mate gave birth to not one, not two, but three babies.

All girls.

All perfect.

I held one tiny babe, and my pack mates held the others.

I could have cried, if my heart wasn’t so full of love and happiness.

Claire took them from us, one by one and tied off their cords and wrapped them in blankets.

“Come on, Mom, bed’s this way.?

?

Claire helped Nevaeh to her feet and dried her body.

Nevaeh was flushed and sweaty, despite the shower.

She’d never looked so beautiful.

We all climbed into the bed Claire told us to rest in, crowding around our mate and laying her babies on her body.

“You did it, beautiful.”

She grinned up at us, her face alight with wonder. “I did. God that was intense. Are you sure they’re all okay?”

She looked from one to the other, their perfect little faces mewling like kittens.

“Yes. Claire said they’re perfect,” Aaron said. “Just like their mother.”

Nevaeh rearranged one of the girls to take a nipple and the hungry little one latched on quickly.

“She’s going to be trouble, I can tell already,” Brad laughed.

“Three daughters?” I coughed. “Ah, I’m buying a shotgun.”

We all laughed and I pressed a kiss to my mate’s lips.

Nevaeh was a miracle, as were our babies.

And I now had more lives to protect and love.

My Alpha’s calling.

And life had never been so perfect.

THE END.

Saving Their Mate
