The Woodland Packs - Page 140

Grayson broke off and for the first time in the ten years since we’d become a family, I knew he was broken.

She’d broken him.

And she was the only one who could re-build him into the Alpha he was meant to become.

I stayed silent for the rest of the drive, secure in the idea that our mate was ours. That we’d touched her heart as deeply as she’d touched ours.

She was as broken without us, as we were without her.

She’d come for us.

If it wasn’t today, it would be tomorrow.

And if it wasn’t tomorrow… I’d bite my own ass.

Chapter 15.

Nevaeh.

My hands shook as I pushed open the front door and watched the boys’ car pull up.

I’d been at their place over two hours, timed by Claire to give me maximum time in the house without them.

After my talk with Brad, I’d realised he was right and that I needed to do something to show them how sorry I was for walking away. I’d called Claire and we’d formulated a plan for me to show them how much I wanted to be with them.

I’d brought my clothes, my knick knacks, my tampons and my food. They were about to get me hard, fast, and perfume clouded.

All of me, they’d said.

Well, I was about to find out if they’d told the truth, and this had to be the biggest, scariest moment of my life.

I waved from the door as the men got out of the car. I’d iced my injuries and was dosed up on anti-inflammatories and pain meds. I didn’t look too pretty, but I wasn’t feeling any pain at the moment.

I smiled, though my heart beat so fast I was terrified I was going to throw up in front of them all and ruin my classy entrance.

I didn’t cook, but I had take-away. Lots of it. And the house smelled like hot apple pie, Thai noodles and pizza.

“Hey. Welcome home.”

Grayson walked up to the door, his lips ticking up at the sides in a smile, so we were off to a good start.

He wasn’t kicking me out, which was a real possibility after the way he’d spoken to me today at the hospital.

He shoved his hands into his pockets and rolled his shoulders forward like an awkward teenager. God, he was beautiful. So strong, and yet so shy.

Aaron walked up, more angry. His chin was stuck out and his eyes looked guarded.

Brad limped up, a big grin on his face.

At least one of them was happy to see me.

They lined up, all three of them. Staring at me.

And although my belly quivered with nerves and fear that they might reject me, my heart sung with happiness to see them all here and in one piece.

I’d never known these feelings existed. This clawing need to be close to them.

“Hey, beautiful.” Brad said with a grimace.
