The Woodland Packs - Page 13

He shrugged. “Yeah, why not? If she’s destined to be the mate to a full pack, then she’ll have an appetite to match.”

I grinned at my Alpha, lust heating up my blood.

“I like the sound of that.”

Chapter 3.

Claire.

Oh. My. God.

Did those guys just say they were going to share me between all three of them? As in… sexually?

Like some footy slut on a team trip? All three of them at once?

No fucking way!

I managed to sit up and swing my legs over the side of the bed without alerting them. They were too busy discussing how they were going to keep me, to listen for my movement anyway.

Keep me!

Like I’m a bloody stray puppy they found by the side of the road.

And what was with all the Alpha, pack… crap? They talked like they were a bunch of primitive animals—which they must be, if they were thinking of enslaving me.

Me! The girl no one ever wants!

I got to my feet and looked around the room for a weapon. Anything I could use to defend myself if necessary.

These guys sounded absolutely insane.

Who kidnaps a fainting woman straight out of a hospital and then takes her home?

Psychopaths! That’s who.

The room I’d been sleeping in was too bland for my taste, and other than a few books, there was nothing to throw. Not even a baseball bat to swing.

The window!

I ran to the sash window and quietly opened the curtains. I could try to climb out and run away, but where the hell was I? And if I did, would I be just jumping from the frying pan into the fire?

Because, although those men were talking about seducing me into staying with them, I had the strangest feeling that they wouldn’t hurt me.

But what did I know? I’d done a brief stint in mental health during my residency and knew as much now as I did before the rotation.

“Oh, you’re awake. Great.”

I yelped and spun around as someone spoke to me from the doorway.

It was the one I hadn’t met yet. He was much smaller than the other two, and had a radiant smile I hadn’t expected.

“Who are you?” I asked, scanning this one for any signs of danger.

He was very pretty, and not much taller than me. But there was something very sexy about him as well. His smile said that he’d go to the ends of the earth to bring me my heart’s desire.

I shook myself to dispel the romantic nonsense. I should be terrified right now but instead, I was entranced by the sight of this guy’s amazing abs.

Why didn’t he have a shirt on?
