A Fated Night - Page 43

Ken wasn’t surprised. The only times a woman like Lana would open her heart in bed was if it was vanilla to a fault. The kinkier things got, the more it was about her sexuality and nothing more. No issue with that. Ken saw lots of benefits to approaching one’s single sex life like that.

Didn’t really work in an actual relationship. That’s what he desperately wanted right now. More than he wanted to conquer half of Fifth Avenue with stealthy acquisitions nobody knew he had the means of accomplishing.

“Let me in?”

Lana kept her stance rigid, but inside she crumbled. A gleam in her narrowing eyes. A bite of the lip. Reddening ears. Drooping curl on the side of her forehead. Had Ken asked the impossible? Of course he had. How could he be so stupid? He had to find a way to diffuse the spark he inadvertently lit.

“When you look at me,” he said, easing his hold on the back of her head, “what is the first thing you think? Sexually speaking.”

Strip away the emotions. Give her a blank slate. Make her think of things that were sure to improve her mood. Lana was not going to walk out of Ken’s apartment with anything foul on her mind. That wasn’t allowed.

Thank God she smiled. “You really wanna know?”

“I wouldn’t have asked if I wasn’t prepared for the answer.”

That bite of her lip intensified. “I think about how I can show the world that I’m currently the mistress of your universe.”

Well. That was… hot. Ken’s cock definitely preferred this kind of talk to thoughts of falling in love and all the drama that came with it. “How would you do that?”

Hands fueled with purpose traveled up his chest. She’s devouring me, isn’t she? So happened that’s exactly what Ken Andrews wanted. “I’d take you somewhere I could fuck you in front of everyone.”

“Go on.”

“I like to show off.”

He tipped her chin up, enjoying the curve of her neck. “So do I.”

“Stop being so perfect.” Lana brought her lips to his but didn’t go for the full kiss. She did, however, tug on his necktie, loosening it when she wasn’t making it choke him. “You don’t actually want to hear about my exhibitionist fantasies.”

“I do if there’s a possibility of them coming true.”

“So you want to hear about me riding your cock while making eye contact with every onlooker in the room?”

Apparently. Or so his cock claimed when it hardened in record time. “Absolutely.”

She glanced down between them. “I’ll take both of your guys’ words on it.”

“You know what I’m really thinking about right now?” He caressed her collarbone, eager to kiss it – while completely sheathed in her cunt. My bed is right over there. So was his trunk of goodies he kept at the foot of the bed. Lots and lots of wonderful things hiding in there. He had a feeling Lana would be into it.

“No.” Lana wrapped her arms around him. “Tell me. Then let’s do it.”

He’d see about that. “I’m envisioning you on my bed.”

“Yes?”

“Naked.”

“Ooh, yes.”

Here was the kicker. “Blindfolded. Tied up.” He pulled her closer, his erection bumping into her. “Completely at my whim to do with as I please, with any part of my body.”

Ken feared she would withdraw from him. But when she remained resolute in his arms, he had a good feeling. That feeling only got better when she grinned at him. Every pearly white tooth enticed him to bite her in turn.

“With you?” she said. “Sounds wonderful.”

They sealed that mutual thought with a heart-pounding kiss.

Chapter 9

“Does Any Of It Bother You?”

Lana was alone in Ken’s bedroom, taking in the private chambers of a man she was becoming way, way too attached to.

She was pretty sure he was attached to her too.

Don’t think about that. She smoothed down her dress and fluffed her hair. Somewhere, Ken was probably watching her. “Before you agree to anything,” he had said shortly before going into his office for a few minutes, “take a look in my trunk in my bedroom. It’s unlocked.”
