A Fated Night - Page 29

Lana came so quickly that it almost caught Ken off guard. But before he knew it, Lana was tighter than ever as she slammed herself against the bed.

Heat retracted from his sack and into his shaft. This was it. Ken had two seconds to completely let himself go and enjoy what his body was about to do.

Sweet, sweet relief blew from his whole frame from his cock. By then he was so deep within her tight cunt that Lana groaned incomprehensible sounds to bear it.

Yet there was no greater relief than falling down next to her on the bed. Lana rolled onto her back and sidled up next to them. She was wearing more clothes than Ken, yet she exuded a vulnerability that rivaled his. Only then did he truly realize that they had one helluva quickie.

“Wow,” he muttered. “Where the hell did that come from?”

Lana chuckled against his arm. “When I know what I want, I get it.”

Vicious. And completely admirable. Ken had many moments like that in his life as well. “You wanted me? That badly, huh?”

“What can I say?” Lana pulled aside his open shirt and lightly kissed his exposed shoulder. “You turn me on.”

“The feeling is mutual.”

She propped herself up on her arm and gazed down at him. Her free hand gently massaged his thigh. Not to arouse him again. Pure affection. Something Ken had been missing in his life lately. “You’re not a woman to be underestimated.”

“I should hope not.” Her fingertips traveled from his pectoral to his abdomen, following the deep crevices of his body lines and awakening whatever had yet to go completely dormant after an orgasm as hard as the one he had. “That would be dreadfully boring.”

Ken shifted his body more toward hers and propped the nearest pillow up beneath his head. What in the world are my employees stuffing these pillows with? Something to talk about with the general manager. “You don’t strike me as a woman who can stand to be boring.”

“Yes.” Lana relaxed against him. More vulnerability. How many people got to see her like this? How many men, specifically? Ken would hazard a guess that not too many men saw the sweeter side of Lana Andrews. It almost made him feel special. “I mean no. I mean…” She laughed. Such a light, airy laugh that no one, least of all Ken, would ever guess came from such a slim frame. “I have no fucking clue. Why? Do you like boring?”

“Not particularly.” Two could play her skin tingling game. Ken gripped her thigh, nails brushing against her slickness. I did that to her. Good job, man.

“So it’s settled. I’m not boring.” Lana, already devoid of her black blazer now that she was in bed with him, went an extra step and unzipped her dress with a pretty contortion of her arm. Ken obliged her by pulling both of her red spaghetti straps over her shoulders. So beautiful. And soft. And delectable.

“You certainly aren’t.” Ken kissed the curve of her throat. Lana, still shrugging out of the bodice of her dress, intercepted his lips for a more subdued kiss.

Ken was of two minds right now. His first thought? Lana had called him her conference fling, and the damn thing was already halfway over. I could have her for two more days. A good length for a summer fling. If Lana was up for it, she could easily become one of the great lays of his life. God knew they had enough chemistry to make them simmer in their own mutual admiration.

But his second thought lingered on something more. Something… magical.

Because that’s what he swore he felt when she kissed him like that. Magic. Her lips opened and seducing his. Her tongue gliding effortlessly along his teeth and then dipping farther in to flick against his tongue. Her breath injecting him with new life. Her silky little moans enticing him to keep kissing her, because she clearly felt this magic too.

“You’re a good kisser,” she murmured on his lips.

“It takes two.”

Lana abruptly ended their kiss and huffed at him. “Why did you give me a cheap rabbit necklace?”

What? Oh, right. Ken had done things that day that hadn’t included this. “I saw it and thought of you, Ms. Bunny.”

“Keep calling me that and I’ll start thinking it’s my name.”

“You mean it isn’t?”
