Her Falcon (Shifted Love 7) - Page 14

“Could you make something quick this time?” I stroked my palms up his chest. “I don’t want to leave our little love nest yet.”

“Neither do I.”

I twined my arms around his neck. “Then stay. Food can wait.”

“As tempting as you are, it really can’t. You’re still healing.” He lowered his head to claim my lips in a quick but hard kiss. “Luckily, I brought the ingredients needed to make the best sandwiches you’ll ever taste. It’ll only take me less than ten minutes to throw them together, and then we can have a little picnic in bed.”

“Sounds perfect.”

He slid out of bed, and I bit my lower lip as I stared at his perfect butt while he strode over to a suitcase next to the door. A little moan escaped when he bent over to unzip the bag and pull out a pair of athletic shorts. Flashing me a grin over his shoulder, he winked as he pulled them on. “Enjoying the view?”

“So much.”

His gaze raked down the length of my body, and goose bumps followed in its wake. “Me, too.”

“Hurry up with those sandwiches so you can enjoy it with more than just your eyes,” I urged, pressing my thighs together to ease the ache in my core.

“Yes, ma'am.”

He headed straight for the fridge and pulled out several packages from the deli, along with a few bottles of sauces and some vegetables. His movements were deft while he started to stack the ingredients together on top of thick slices of freshly baked bread. My eyes widened at how quickly and precisely his hand moved when he used a sharp knife—one that hadn’t been there yesterday—to slice the vegetables.

“You look really comfortable in the kitchen.”

He didn’t look away from what he was doing as he explained, “I better be. Before I moved to Timber Ridge, I was the swing chef at Castagna in Chicago. Now I’m the deputy chef at Timber’s Treasures.”

I wasn’t familiar with the term, and my brows drew together. “What’s a swing chef?”

“I didn’t have a specific station, so I covered wherever I was needed in the kitchen.” He flashed me a cocky grin. “Which means I had to be good at all of them.”

His confidence was so freaking sexy. “Lucky me.”

“You’ll see just how good I am in the kitchen when I actually cook for you.” He cut the sandwiches in half and stacked them on a plate before stalking back toward the bed. “But this isn’t a bad place to start.”

He lifted one of the triangles to my lips, and I took a big bite. The mixture of flavors burst against my tongue, and my eyes widened at how delicious he’d made a simple sandwich taste. “So good.”

“Eat up, bright eyes. You need all the calories you can get while you’re healing.” He bit into one of the sandwiches. “And we’ll both need the energy for what I have planned for today.”

The sensual gleam in his blue eyes left me with no doubt that his plan involved lots of orgasms. It was time to wolf down these sandwiches so we could get to the good stuff.

As soon as I took my last bite, Aero set the empty plate on the floor and pressed his body against mine. Pushing me down on the mattress, he captured my mouth for a deep kiss. His tongue licked along the seam of my lips until they parted and then dove inside to tangle with mine. By the time he lifted his head again, I was panting with need.

His nostrils flared, and I knew he was dragging the scent of my arousal into his lungs. “You smell so sweet, bright eyes. I’ll never get enough of you. Need another taste.”

I spread my legs, more than ready to have his mouth on me again. “I’m definitely not going to stop you.”

His gaze raked down my body, zeroing in on my pussy as he licked his lips. “You’re so damn beautiful.”

Starting at my ankles, he glided his palms up my legs before pushing my thighs farther apart. “And all mine.”

Mindless with need, I watched him as he wedged his shoulders between my legs so he could kiss the soft skin of my inner thighs. My breath was choppy, and I fisted the sheets at my sides. He kept his blue eyes locked on mine as his tongue swept between my pussy lips up to my clit. I nearly flew off the bed as he flicked over that sensitive bundle of nerves.

“Please,” I moaned.

There was another swipe of his tongue through my wetness before he growled, “You taste even better than you smell.”

He kept teasing me with slow licks and hot breath against my pussy, but it wasn’t enough. I needed more. Gripping the back of his head, I tried to draw him closer to my body. When he didn’t give me what I wanted, I whimpered, “Please. So close.”
