Inked By My Best Friend's Dad - Page 9

“I never said that,” I tell her firmly, my hands moving on their own, past my control now it seems.

“Hey! Slade, got any ice?” Tank shouts from the doorway.

“Ice tray. Freezer,” I growl without taking my eyes off Abby, and without even skipping a beat Tank disappears.

Oblivious to the moment he’s just ambushed.

But it's okay, I tell myself.

There’ll be plenty of chances yet. Once I get Abby all alone.

All to myself.

“You never opened your present,” Abby says suddenly, ignoring my grumpy mood after I snapped at Tank.

I feel the corners of my mouth lift, thinking about the present I’d rather be opening as I shamelessly let my eyes wander over her chest.

“It’s in the kitchen,” she reminds me, blushing.

A girl knows when she’s being checked out, doesn’t she?

I know a man does, and I’ve caught Abby looking more often than not at my body so far.

Not standard behavior for hanging out with your best friend at her dad’s house, is it?

I tell myself it isn’t. That I’ve got a chance here.

A ripple of nervous energy runs across my stomach once we’re in the kitchen, Abby’s hand brushing mine as she passes me the oblong box with a blue ribbon.

“It’s Tasha’s gift,” Abby reminds me.

“Got your name on the card too,” I inform her, noting her embarrassment, but not understanding what her problem is with compliments or being the center of attention.

I tear open the package and slow down once I feel the wooden frame, feeling the glass.

“A picture,” I say, holding it up and stifling a low groan once I get a good look.

Fuck.

“Lemme see,” Abby says, interested in the gift now.

She gasps, but again from shy embarrassment when I hold it out for her to see.

It’s a picture of her and Tasha, arms around each other at her graduation.

“That wasn’t my idea,” Abby protests, shaking her head and promising she will be having a talk with her friend about including her in my gift.

“What’s wrong with it?” I finally manage, sitting down at the kitchen table as I take in two Abbys at once.

“I look fat. Oh my god,” she exclaims, covering her mouth in genuine shock as she registers my smile, mistaking it for me laughing at her.

She turns to leave the kitchen, but my hand reaches for her, grabbing her hard enough to put her off balance.

Before we know it, she’s in my lap.

Both of us moan as my thick length presses hard into her soft ass and back.

I should apologize.

I should help her get up off me.

But for a moment, neither of us dears to move a muscle. Neither of us wants to break the moment, but I finally say something.

I need to tell her I’m not making fun of her.

“I think it’s a beautiful photo of two very beautiful girls,” I tell her. Letting one of my hands rest on her thick thigh.

Trying to sound sincere and innocent, but her body leans back into mine as she purrs makes me reconsider how I feel compared to what I’m saying.

“You’re just saying that,” Abby finally whispers, shifting her weight forward to get up.

Making me groan softly.

“Dad. Abby! What the fuck?” comes from the doorway as Tasha storms into the kitchen.

And it looks like her old man has some explaining to do.

CHAPTER FIVE

Abby

Tasha looks just as shocked as I feel, but only because she’s just walked in on me and her dad like this.

It’s innocent enough.

Apart from the growing hard on I can feel pressing into my back.

Maybe all my weight on him pushed all the blood to his dick somehow?

If I let myself think about the reality of what’s actually happening I’ll lose more than my mind, I know that much.

But Tasha’s expression shifts from shock and even anger to humor once she obviously tells herself she can’t be seeing what she thinks she is.

No way.

No way would her dad ever… And with her best friend?

Nah.

“No birthday hugs for me, huh? You only daughter,” she asks her dad, pretending to pout and then gasping aloud, telling us both off for opening her dad’s present without her once she spots the portrait.

“You were uh… busy,” Slade reminds her, but Tasha doesn’t hear, she’s already yanked the frame from his grip and is talking loudly as she decides where the best place might be to put it.

In the trash… Or at least cut me out of it for god’s sake.

I’ve never been so embarrassed, but I’ve never seen any man let alone someone like Slade take such an interest in my being in a picture either.

Coincidence?

I dunno, and like I said, I’m about to burst if I don’t find out one way or another if I’m imagining all this, or if my best friend’s dad really is interested in me.

And in more than just a “beautiful photo of two very beautiful girls” kinda way.
