Bishop: A True Lover's Story - Page 112

Edison gasped into his mouth when Bishop nudged closer. Oh fuck, he’s so tight.

“Yes, please.” Edison’s voice was thick with his lust, his plea bordering on a sob. “I’m ready.”

Bishop held Edison tight, battling for sanity as he fought not to thrust anymore. Bishop growled when Edison rocked his hips upward, crying out in ecstasy when his head pressed in more. He buried his face in Edison’s neck, kissing him softly as he calmed the storm raging between them. He clamped his hands over Edison’s ass and massaged the soft mounds, knowing he’d be in that heaven soon... but not today. Bishop bit Edison’s earlobe. “Not yet, baby.”

Edison’s eyes were already closed but a frown began to crease his smooth forehead.

Bishop didn’t want Edison thinking for one minute that he didn’t want all of him. “I’ll have my results from the clinic in a couple of weeks.”

“I trust you,” Edison breathed.

Bishop stilled Edison’s relentless hips, his willpower fading. Those were very important words Edison had just whispered in his ear and it was vital that Bishop didn’t violate them. “I trust you, too. And I want to do this right. I want to wait until I can show you the results. And in the meantime, we can do other things.” Bishop cradled Edison’s face, looking him in his eye. “Because I’m not going anywhere.”

Bishop blinked away the grogginess in his head as he woke fully. It was pitch-dark in the room and a warm, solid weight was half lying across his chest. Light snores reached his ears, and before he knew it, Bishop smiled. A full, ear-to-ear grin that reached clear down to his heart. He grazed his fingertips over Edison’s bare shoulder, not wanting to wake him. He didn’t know what time it was, and he didn’t care. He lay there in the darkness and thought about how he’d almost screwed up a second time with Edison. Three fucking strikes and he’d be out. Bishop saw the devastation he’d done by not answering Edison’s calls all night. Regardless of who’d been in the right or the wrong, he shouldn’t’ve let his pride win. It was poison in a relationship… Wood told him that.

Edison shifted, his thigh brushing Bishop’s balls. He bit the inside of his jaw to keep from grunting. He needed to wake Edison up because he wouldn’t be able to deny Edison twice in one night. Bishop turned them until they were on their sides and Edison’s eyes opened slowly.

“Hey, sleepyhead.” Bishop kissed his temple.

“Mmmm. Sorry. I was exhausted.” Edison curled around him, as if he wasn’t ready to move. “I didn’t sleep much last night.”

A fresh wave of guilt washed over Bishop as he rubbed Edison’s back. “I’m starving.” Bishop said. “You wanna get something to eat?”

Edison nodded, his stomach growling right on cue. “I can’t lie and say I’m not, huh. I’ll fix us something.”

“You’re tired. You don’t have to cook all the time.”

“I like cooking for you.”

“And I love eating what you cook… but I also like Chinese.” Bishop ignored his hard dick that kept trying to interrupt his thoughts. Edison’s nakedness smelled and felt too damn good, and it was distracting to say the least. “You get cleaned up; I’ll order us something.”

“Or we can shower together?” Edison whispered, teasing Bishop’s nipple with his fingers.

Dammit. What have I created? “If I get in there with you, you’re going to come out with a limp.”

Edison rolled to his back, laughing. “Goodness. Okay, then. Let’s just get some takeout. There’s a place up the street that has online delivery. It’s the Imperial Palace. I just want some plain pancit and a quart of wonton soup… my stomach is still rebelling from last night’s liquid dinner.”

Bishop swung his legs over the side and pulled his briefs back over his ass. He watched Edison disappear into the bathroom and waited for the shower to start before he picked up his cell phone. He hit the text-to-speech microphone and spoke quietly into the speaker, “Chinese food delivery near me.” Edison had given him a name of a restaurant, but he wasn’t about to ask him how to spell that. And he wasn’t going on anyone’s online to try to figure out how to order some food. Which there were probably no pictures anyway. A few internet tutorials didn’t make him an expert.

After he ordered their food over the phone, he went to his truck to get his bag while Edison cleaned up. By the time he finished showering in the guest bathroom, Edison was setting out the food on the dining table.

“Hey. Just in time,” Edison said, pouring Bishop a large glass of iced tea. He was barefoot in a pair of flannel lounge pants and an oversized T-shirt. Bishop thought he looked cute-as-fuck and it was definitely a sight he could get used to seeing for a long time.
