A Fragile Wife - Page 54

“I love you,” Ken finally said, his hands holding her shoulders. “I rarely see this side of you. I must be the only man to ever see it.”

She lifted her head, wearily looking into his. “I love you too.”

Lana nearly cried, for no other reason than she was afraid. Afraid of losing him. Afraid of not being good enough. Afraid that she could not keep her husband’s interests beyond this private room.

Was it too much to ask for those reassurances?

“What do you want?” she asked softly, fingers clinging to his shirt. “I’ll give you anything.”

“Anything?”

“Yes, I’ll…” Her throat went dry, her eyes darting around the room in search of something else to focus on. “I’ll give you my heart, Kenny. I love you so much, it doesn’t seem fair that I ask so much of you.”

“You don’t, really.”

“Do you want my soul? I’ll give it to you, baby. It isn’t worth all that much.”

“Don’t say that.”

“Do you want my body?”

Ken bit his lip. “I do.”

Lana placed her hand in his lap, feeling the erection he maintained from watching his wife with another man. “I’ll do whatever you want.” She started to unzip him, but Ken stopped her.

“No, my love. You know what I really want.”

Of course. It was what he mentioned out in the maw of the club. What he really wanted was to see what was done by another man.

Before, Lana would have said she didn’t really understand what turned her husband on in this situation. So what if she rolled onto her back, opened her legs, and watched as Ken pulled aside her folds? By now, she was returning to normal, although enough wetness remained behind for another man to have his way with her. It wouldn’t be the first time she took her husband after hosting another man inside her body.

And yet this felt very, very different.

She wanted so badly to be exactly what he wanted. Before, she wouldn’t have given a shit if Ken was less than impressed. Now? The only thing that mattered was being good enough for her husband to drop his zipper, loom between her legs, and take her for himself.

“Ow,” Lana muttered, although she wanted this. She wanted to feel her body taken over again, this time by the man she loved almost unconditionally. “Be gentle?”

He was, in his own way.

Oh, he was gentle in how he treated her between the legs, knowing that she was still sore and needed tenderness above all else. Yet his intensity as he made love to her, his eyes boring into hers as he made her his over and over again, was something beyond a man like Caden could have ever hoped to give her. Because this is my husband. Her partner. Her Master. Her good boy when the time was right. Tonight, he was a little bit of everything, and most definitely the man who loved her more than anyone else could have.

“That’s right, Lana,” he growled, as his wife relaxed around him. “You’re all mine.”

Ken took her hands and lifted them above her head, thrusting into her gently, but with renewed purpose. He would continuously remind her that no other man made love to her like he did. And if he couldn’t do that? Then he wasn’t a man worthy of having her affection.

Although she did not come again, he did, quickly, spending himself with a few bursts of controlling pleasure. Not once did his eyes waver from hers.

Lana felt small, but loved.

“My God,” Ken muttered, lying next to her when he was finished. He watched as his seed spilled from his wife and onto the otherwise clean sheets. “As the universe intended.”

Yes, baby, I’m all yours. There was no doubt about it. All Lana continued to worry about was that Ken was all hers. If a wife didn’t have that, then what did she have?

Soon, she thought. Soon everything would sort itself out. It had to.

Chapter 11

“Do You Believe Me?”

There was nothing like coming home on a rainy evening after a long day hassling investors and threatening to cut off a few balls if Lana didn’t get her way. Ken had to remain in town to finish up some paperwork, so Lana summoned her driver and had him take her home, far away from the downtown ruckus. She looked forward to a quiet dinner and lounging in her room, playing music, enjoying the fire, and organizing her makeup case.
