Boss (Steele Riders MC) - Page 14

At my age, I’m grateful for all the parts still in really nice places. Everything is where it should be and still firm, which has taken a lot of work and tender loving care over the years, but I can’t stop time. None of that matters because even with the harsh bathroom light, Liam can’t take his eyes off me or stop from stroking his huge length.

It’s not long before we’re going at it again like horny teens, fucking hard against the shower wall. I cry out his name as he roars into me from behind with my face plastered on the wet surface. “That’s it. You’re mine, Esperanza. Take everything I’m giving you,” he growls in my ear.

“I need it,” I grunt, pressing my hands on the wall while he grabs my hips and pistons his length hard and deep into me repeatedly.

“Come now.” His words trigger my orgasm and I flex my walls around his shaft, coming and milking out his own release. I giggle as he rests his head on my back, water spraying us both. “Damn, I’m ready to head back for another nap.”

“That sounds wonderful. How about we shower for real, though?” We wash up and wrap up in the fabulous hotel towels before climbing back in bed to cuddle into a peaceful sleep. I want to stay like this forever, but I know it can’t last since he has to go back to run his business. I might not have learned everything from Liam himself, but I did learn a couple things along the way and he takes his dedication to those in his employ extremely seriously.

I’m going to miss him. Still, where does this leave us?

We spent the day in bed. It’s already nearly nightfall when I give Liam a tour of Vegas, but he doesn’t care about any of that. “Take me back to your home. I want to see where you live.”

“Are you sure?”

“Why wouldn’t I be?”

“Well, it’s just…”

“Don’t you want me there?”

“Of course I do, but it’s not like here. There’s nothing Vegas about my home.”

“I don’t care. I want to know you, Esperanza. The woman who sat at my bar, looked nervous, beautiful, sweet, fierce, and so sexy that I couldn’t wait to get to know her.”

The next day is perfect but as it winds down, a sense of foreboding strikes me. He’s leaving, and I’m not going with him. We don’t have any set plans, no rush to marry, nothing but a promise for me to come test out a long stay in a week. It’s the most I could give because I’m scared. I want him to love me and swear that it’s the forever kind of love, but we didn’t exactly express those types of feelings.

It's silly of me to feel like he’s abandoning me. It’s not like he’s supposed to demand we get married and carry me away like Emiliano wanted to do with Roxie when they first met or how I learned most of the Riders had done with their brides. Wow, it appears that after all these years I’ve learned nothing. I’m a naïve old woman, only this time, I wasn’t intoxicated with booze.

I’m falling in love with Liam.

Chapter Five

Boss

Leaving her has been the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I had no idea how fucking insanely impossible it would be to walk out of that hotel, knowing it would be a week before I’d see her again. The thought of not holding her for seven whole fucking days was unbearable.

I swallow hard as I step into my bar and get down to the nitty gritty of preparing for opening in two hours. My staff run a tight ship, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have to do my oversight, so I’ll spend the next few hours after we open going over the weekend’s sales.

I open up my computer and get to work. It’s nearly time to open the bar when I hear pounding on the back door. Checking the security camera, I see a woman looking around and she looks familiar. Whipping the door open, I let her in and slam it shut, not trusting if this is a trick or not. How did she get here, and why? I look at her broken body and see that she’s in trouble. I call Doc and pray he can help. “Hey, I need you to get to the bar with as much supplies as soon as possible. A woman was left outside my door beaten.”

“On my way.”

I end the call and set her down on the sofa in my office and then grab a bucket of ice and a clean bar towel.

“Sweetie, talk to me. What happened?” I ask, wiping her muddy face after dipping the towel into the bucket and wetting it.

“Attacked, ran away,” she groans. I can feel her wrist is broken with rope burns. She has a cut on her forehead and her throat has bruising around it. I don’t know her name or how she got here from Dallas because there’s not a lot of reason to head this way unless you intend to come this way.
