Dash (Silver Saints MC) - Page 17

Knight's head popped up from the other side of the refrigerator door, and he grinned before ducking back down to rummage for food.

Dammit. I took the fucking bait.

“No leftovers?”

I rolled my eyes. “Learn to cook, asshole.”

Brynn giggled, and I smiled at the sound, glancing down to see her watching me with sparkling amber pools. I winked, and when a blush stained her cheeks, my cock twitched. Since she was sitting on my lap, she felt the movement and her face flushed as her eyes filled with heat.

I dipped my head and whispered, “I’m still hungry.”

“Oh?” she asked, her voice breathless. “Do you want dessert?”

“Absolutely. But I can’t eat what I’m craving in the kitchen.” I nipped her ear and scooped her into my arms as I stood and stalked to my room.

We didn’t leave the bedroom until the following afternoon. After spending most of the night pleasuring her with my mouth, fingers, and cock, I spent the morning taking care of her. I shouldn’t have fucked her so many times right after taking her cherry, but she was too damn irresistible. So I gave her some pain meds, drew her a bath, and made her rest. Not joining her in the tub should have qualified me for sainthood.

“How about I make us some lunch, then we’ll go look at a few places?” I suggested as we descended the stairs.

“Look at…but—but we just met…yesterday,” Brynn stammered. “How can you possibly have places for us to go see already?”

I grinned as I took her hand and led her into the kitchen. “Got people to do that shit, beautiful.” She looked confused, and I laughed. “One of our prospects is a real estate agent. I gave him a heads-up, and he sent me a list of places with the lockbox codes.”

Brynn’s brow rose, and she blinked a few times before murmuring, “I’m impressed.”

“Good. I aim to please you every day for the rest of your life.” I pulled her close and growled, “In and out of the bedroom.”

She blushed hard, and I planted a hard kiss on her sexy mouth before guiding her over to the island and plopping her on a stool.

“Hey, Dash,” Cat—our VP’s old lady—greeted when she turned away from the stove and spotted us. “This must be the new old lady.” She grinned at Brynn and walked over to shake her hand. “I’m Cat, Scout’s woman. Welcome to the shit show. You’ll love it.”

“Brynn,” my girl replied with a chuckle.

“Gonna make you some food, beautiful.” I kissed her temple and moved about the kitchen putting together some sandwiches while she chatted with Cat. Just as I was setting a plate down in front of her, Mac poked his head in the room and jerked his chin at me, indicating he needed a word.

“Be right back,” I muttered to Brynn, then glanced at Cat, who shooed me away, silently agreeing to watch out for my woman.

I stalked to Mac’s office and found Bear, Doc, and Scout there as well. Mac dropped onto the oversized chair behind his desk and put his hands behind his head. “Doc?”

Doc was sitting on a couch in the corner of the office, and I turned to look at him just as he slid a stack of papers toward me on a low table. I walked over and picked them up, but when I saw what they were, I almost dropped them as rage built in my chest.

There were photos of Brynn entering the building the night before and screenshots of posts by someone who appeared to be trying to find out her identity. “What the fuck?”

“One of Hack’s people was helping me with the cleanup and ran across these,” Doc explained. Hack owned a security company, and we often used his people when we needed assistance, especially from computer nerds.

“What do they want with her?” I snarled, tossing the papers back onto the coffee table.

“Not sure. But it looks like they think your woman is involved.”

“Who?” I demanded, ready to hunt down anyone who posed a threat to Brynn.

“Still trying to find out. When I know, you’ll know. But I figured you’d want to keep Brynn outta Dodge until we know who it is and what they want with her.”

“She’s safest here, anyway,” Scout added from where he was lounging on a chair in front of Mac’s desk.

“By the way,” Mac chimed in, looking at Bear. “Alyssa sent me another email today.” Bear grunted, and his expression darkened at the mention of the sheriff’s daughter. “She thinks she’s got another lead for us.” Mac’s expression was neutral as he delivered the news. “While I appreciate what she’s trying to do, one of these days, she’s going to get too close to the fire and get her ass burned.”

“Yeah, yeah. I’ll take care of it,” Bear grumbled.
